You must have heard the name Marcheline Bertrand a few times before ... she's not only a former actress & model, but she's also Angelina Jolie's mom.
Bertrand died yesterday Sunday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Angelina Jolie released a statement yesterday.
Bertrand was battling cancer for a couple of years now, & it seems was loosing the battle. Angelina Jolie was very close to her mom, she visited her continuously & even took the kids, Maddox & Zahara to see her a couple of times.

At the time of Bertrand's death, Angelina, her brother James Haven & Brad Pitt were at the hospital.
A private funeral has been planned for her & the family asked that instead of flowers being sent in, donations be made to the Women's Cancer Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai.

Courage and strength to the family. Angelina is surrounded by family and a good man who loves her. Her mother knew that and could leave in peace. It's going to be so hard but she'll make it. James and Angelina we love you. Be strong.
