i am not indian but i lived in india for a couple of years and this is NOT NOT NOT NOT NOTT the frist movie which has kissing scenes many movies have more than that .and aishwarya is a really restricted consevartive person and she never reveals too much so this kiss will NOT make her look cheap.and im sure the kiss will be romantic as oppossed to sexy.

I think the big deal is more about the culturein India and how it's always been. I was a little disappointed just because Aishwarya Rai has always talked about how she respects her countries culture and would never do anything she knows offends her people like kissing and sex scenes and then she goes ahead and does this. To ppl living in the states or the west or anywhere else it's weird to us to see someone suing an actress cuz she kissed a guy in a movie but to them it is a huge deal since it's against the law. It's a "dirty" thing to kiss in public. That's meant for the bedroom and that's not far from Islam. In Islam it's haram to even talk about your sex life to someone else. There's a hadith which I can't remember exactly but basically it says you might as well just go outside and have sex if you're going to tell everyone. Anyways, the point is kissing on screen in India is against the law and she should have known not to disrespect her country's culture and do something wrong in her environment.
