The new upcoming action, adventure, family and fantasy movie is coming your way next week based on the best-selling children’s book by Christopher Paolini.

It's the story of a farm boy who finds a dragon's egg which leads him on a predestined journey where he realizes he's the one person who can defend his home against an evil king.

I saw the trailer and it looks promising. The cool effects indicate adequate sums of money has been spent. It felt a bit like Dragonheart (1996) meets Lord of the Rings who then meet up with the Jedi from Star wars.

If you're into this “Narnia-type of genre, I think you're going to be entertained. Just don't expect a complicated plot. It seems pretty straight forward so far:
Boy is the chosen one, has wise companion, acquires powerful sword/powers, kills evil king.
