It was a surprise for Sylvester Stallone when he knew he'd be riding with the dinosaurs at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History!
Yesterday, in a ceremony at the museum, Stallone said: "Being in the Smithsonian? I knew I was getting old but I didn't think I'd be with the dinosaurs so soon."
Stallone donated a collection of Rocky-related artifacts to the museum & thus has become a permanent part of American cultural history.
His artifacts - the battered black hat, the red-yellow ring robe from the Apollo Creed fight, white boxing boots & red gloves from the first two sequels ...

... & the U.S. flag trunks from Rocky IV - will be on display at the Treasures of American History exhibit in the National Air & Space Museum starting on December 21.
These memorabilia will be just beside some really cool stuff ... Ray Charles's sunglasses, Louis Armstrong's 1913 cornet & Albert Einstein's pipe! Cool!
Guess what? Stallone also announced that he may be adding two other fantastic things to the collection; a championship belt & his original hand-written Rocky script!
Stallone also dedicated this amazing stuff to "all the Rockys out there".
He also said: "Rocky, of course, is part of everybody, I don't have ownership anymore."
