Fostering orphan elephants is one of the ways the idealistic poet cares for natural beauty, and it supports people in Africa by helping their efforts. An insider reported that Vanna, who loves children, gave her family and friends children baby elephants to care for! Every month they get reports about them and learn about the habitat.

So how cool are elephants? In recent studies, scientists have learned that elephants are self-aware. They can recognize themselves when looking a in a mirror and the ability to distinguish one's self from others has only been shown in humans, chimps, and to some extent in dolphins.

Vanna's babies will eventually be naturally integrated into the wild elephant community, and meanwhile they have a base they can return to when they feel insecure.
