What can I say? This movie/documentary/fiction/action/etc...is really something.
It’s a…get this: “Fictional Documentary” about the death of the US president George W. Bush directed by British filmmaker Gabriel Range.
It takes place years after the assassination of Bush and does all the interviews and investigation of a Kennedy-like documentary.
The surprising thing about it is that after a while, you forget it’s a work of fiction since it looks and feels so real. You actually think you’re watching Panorama or a CNN documentary or something.
Now, regardless of what you might think about the US president, don’t you feel it’s a bit strange that someone would go all out to kill him in a movie?
Does the world hate him so much that they (like me) would actually go out and pay to see him die, even though it’s just a movie?
Apparently not only movie-goes found the “what-if” scenario intriguing. The film also won the International Critics Prize (FIPRESCI) at the 2006 Toronto Film Festival.
Watch this one if you’re looking for something different.
