It has been reported that Fox Searchlight Pictures wanted to include Katie's name as a possible Oscar nominee on the screener of 'Thank You for Smoking' ... But her people respectfully declined the offer!
I mean, who would kill his/her chance for Oscar glory by declining!? ... Who!?
It is well known now that Katie didn't get much praise from Tom Cruise for her role as an investigative reporter in Thank You For Smoking because of Katie's nude sex scene in it.
