I guess one of the fears that celebrities have to live with in being a public figure is stalkers. Yes, the latest victim of celebrity stalking is no other than Hilary Duff. Yup, who wouldn’t recognize her? First from the being Lizzie in the Disney Channel’s Lizzie McGuire shows, to different roles in various movies and now to being a pop star.

The police arrested the 18-year-old Maksim Myaskovskiy on the counts of stalking and issuing unlawful threats against Hillary Duff. This man is now being held in jail for a bail of $200,000. It was not disclosed whether Myaskovskiy already has a lawyer for the arraignment on Tuesday.

Hillary Duff together with her family required protection from the authorities, claiming in the legal documents filed that Myaskovskiy cam to Duff’s neighborhood, her boyfriend’s neighborhood and her mother’s home in order to get in touch with her. According to the legal documents, Myaskovskiy admitted his obsession about Hilary Duff. He even confessed about staging a dramatic scene just to get Duff’s notice.
