A man in Morocco buys a rifle, he gives it to his two sons to protect their goats from the jackals. While practicing their shooting, the younger son accidentally shoots an American woman who is vacationing with her husband aboard a tour bus.
The movie then show how different characters are intertwined; the children of the American couple who are with their Mexican nanny back in the States & the original owner of the rifle, a Japanese businessman whose daughter is deaf-mute ... They are all connected.
