Coincidence had it that Kylie Minogue & British Prime Minister Tony Blair stay at the same hotel in Birmingham, & that’s when the story begins … & ends!
Blair got news that the Australian singer was in the same hotel, so he requested meeting her, but she turned down his offer & used this opportunity to protest against the war in Iraq.
Kylie isn’t known for voicing her political opinion, but she did take part in the Stop The War Coalition protest in 2003 in London, in which a million people took part in as well.
You Go girl!

Well done Kylie you stand up for what's right!!!
Love Kylie!!! Love her music, and love her character after her recovery from cancer. I see her as the strong women that I would think women should be like ( nad I myself is no exception).
Completely admire her.
If you ask me there should be more of people like Kylie to give Tony Blair a big shake up by voicing up their opinons. Purely because he is the most pathetic creature on this planet.
This war has been happening for a few years and things are not getting any better. In fact, it's getting worse. To hear big names like Kylie, speak up against it (AND to the face of the Tony Blair) is just great because it gives you that spark of hope that the wotld hasn't forgotten about Iraq. It always feels like the only ones who care about Iraq, is us Arabs. But, Kylie just shows that there are more people out there against it all than what we think and feel.
I wish we can just keep hering more of these voices, instead of silence.
Love you Kylie.
