The reason for Daniel Smith's death has been revealed.
The much awaited toxicology report, shows that there was a lethal combination of drugs that caused cardiac dysrhythmia.
Pathologist Cyril Wecht revealed to People exclusively: The death of Anna Nicole Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel was caused by a lethal combination of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro, & the low levels of each drug suggest he did not die from an overdose.
Wecht, who got the toxicology results from National Medical Services in Willow Grove, Pa. yesterday, said the drugs caused the cardiac dysrhythmia that led to Daniel's death.

What is still missing from the news is why these drugs in combination had this effect.
Methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro all take the same route for metabolism. All 3 drugs are also designed to block the route. This is what allows them to reach a steady state.
Between 7 to 15% of the population will have a genetic variation that makes this route slow to begin with.
