On This Day a Superman Was Born

Christopher Reeve

Today is actor Christopher Reeve’s birthday, the man who played Superman in the Superman movies during the 80’s. As you know, the actor suffered a paralysis after a horse riding accident which left him in a terrible state until his death on October 10th 2004.
This man was my childhood hero and my most beloved actor of all time. His nice-guy appeal and decency was unmatched by any other of his kind. And yes, as you know another Superman hit the big screen this summer with a beautiful movie “Superman Returns.”

Although the new movie is really touching, powerful, easy to watch and friendly, the new actor is no Christopher Reeve…not by a long shot.
What is your impression on the old and new Superman?
Did Brandon Routh do a good job or will Reeve’s shoes never be filled?

Brandon Routh is so perfect and believeable as Superman even though the movie Superman Returns has him acting more human than alien, it is my belief he should stay the only one to continue to play this role in the future. He is so much like both Clark Kent and Superman in real life, it's uncanny. Pay more attention to Brandon Routh and you cannot help but notice that he is THE ONE!!! I just love this guy!
