Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai was shooting a commercial in Dubai in the past week & she caused a traffic jam while doing that!
A group of admirers stopped to watch the process of filming the commercial, thus causing a halt in traffic on the streets which also lead to the wide Shaikh Zayed Road from Dubai to Jabal Ali!
As for her other news, Rai's career is expected to get a big boost from the release of her latest drama The Last Legion in January 2007.
Rai plays a Byzantine warrior named Mira.
The filming of the movie took place in Tunisia and Slovakia & is based on Valerio Massimo Mandredi's novel of the same name.

ACTUALLY if u check ur facts India and Venezuela are the countries which have won the most beauty pageants sooo i guess their women r very pretty. Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka chopra, Sushmita Sen, Lara dutta, Tanushree dutta and the list goes on. india has always done extemely well in beauty pageants.
on the other hand though Aishwarya has a major attitude its very annoying she thinks shes all that.

India has won the Miss World 5 times, Miss Universe 2 times, Miss Asia Pacific 3 times, Miss Intercontinential 2 times and almost all Indian delegates have made it to the semifinals of all the beayty peagents and most went on to the finals. So whoever the dumb head was who said that indians are not pretty is sick in the head. in year 2000 Ash was named the most beautiful miss world of all time by a panel of judges from all around the world beating all the women of all other nationalities, so pliz next time leave your racist comments to yourself. Indians are very warm people who know thier identity and culture and that is more than what anyone can say about westeners.

Why should one person agree that Indians are pretty, obviosouly that is his or her opinion and I will second that opionion.
OK lets be real here, you people are comparing beauty pagents to a society of Indians. Of course they are going to find the best that they have to stick in a beauty pagent.
You can maybe find one good looking indian over a crowd of 100. Go to India and your not going to find what you see on T.V such as movies, video clips, commericals etc. Some of these actors, singers are even mixed so they're are not even full-blooded Indians. I ride the train every day in the U.S. and see a lot of Indians a regular basis and believe me they are not very good looking and I'm not anti-Indian. A matter of fact, I've have friends and neighbors who are of Indian descent.
There are lots and lots of beautiful Indians. In India and out of it. They are 1/6th of the worlds population so off course there r millions of pretty ladies.
Aishwarya has loads of Attitude and I feel she is always hyped up,there are lots of beautiful people in India,look at her childhood snaps she looks sick..She is getting too much of Cosmetic therapies done on her to look So bad..haha..I Hate her to the core..She is a Ditcher all the times..

You people are argueing whether or not a woman is aesthetically pleasing and then trying to say that she represents a whole f******* race. If I took, let's say, Angelina Jolie, and argued that all American women are pretty, I'd be considered a dumbass. Or if I said I've seen a few Americans and they weren't that great looking, I'd still be a dumbass for generalizing. Finally, I have to agree with a part of summer's comment; it dependes upon a person whether or not they find something "beautiful". There is no universal standard for considering something beautiful since someone is bound to disagree.

"ash" is a plastic doll.thats what i got told by some indian and paki girls at my old skewl.plus..she wouldnt be the perfect role to represent a byzantinian warrior.geez..shes too weak and thin especially with all that makeup on her eyes under the helmet..dunno looks like shes going to a fashion show rather than fight in a battle.

When anyone has a little bit of grey in their eyes, it can change colour depending on the lighting.

All those people who are saying Indians are not good looking have obvisouly never been to India...i've been there twice and one of the things i noticed was the beauty of the people!..and there are a lot of people with light skin like Aishwarya but you don't generally see them in the streets...you will see them all when you go to the restaurants and places where you find the middle class people....some of the most beautiful women are in Rajasthan with their dark skin and striking green eyes. By the way Indian soul i find it very offensive to say something like "white trashes" I don't understand people who get upset at someone being racist and then reply with more racism...it just shows that you are also a racist!
hey filipino here! indians are not only beautiful bunch of people. generally smart too! im impressed by their good command of the english language (regardless of their authentic accent). I JUST ADMIRE INDIANS. especially when miss india emerged many times as topnotchers in international pageants. if i were an indian, i would stand high and tall as one when I see miss india every year making a good cut in internationl pageants.
Why does it matter what shade of skin color an Indian is? Or any other race/ethnicity for that matter? People are beautiful because they are unique, striking, no matter what their color! Its in the eye of the beholder. Personally I don't like Blonde haired blue eyed guys, they make me think "Uh, you are red like a lobster and need a tan STAT." I have guy friends that looooove dark skinned girls because they think white girls are boring. But I also have Latina friends that looooove white guys, Asian guys, black guys......it doesn't matter if you are open minded. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

i'm a 15 year old indian girl living in hong kong, china and i don't think i'm "ugly" or "hairy" or any of the other stereotypes.
hong kong is an international city, i have friends that are chinese, korean, australian, argentinian, british, american, and countless other beautiful races, including mixed. i've got guys, i'm not some sort of reject for my looks, and been told i'm pretty just as much as an average girl from any other race.
maybe because i don't live in india, (have been there though, obviously) where the poverty levels are so high no one could care less about their appearance, when there's so much more to worry about. we aren't any hairier than any other race- yes, it does stand out more because it is darker, but obviously i shave my legs etc like any other female my age.
there's another indian girl in my year who is a local model- she's absoloutely stunning, so i don't believe its only Aishwarya Rai who is considered beautiful because she "is fake".
that said, there are several less than attractive indian girls at my school, who make less effort with their appearance.
you can't judge everyone by one stereotype, and it really does depend on the individual. i fight most of these posts really demeaning and upsetting, and hope that as i grow up i won't be as narrow minded and stupid as most of the people here.
