Dave stwerat was best known for being the male half of the Eurythmics, but he was also a guitarist with many famous singers like Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger & Sinead O'Connor.
But before all that Stewart formed the the rock band Platinum Weird in 1973 and was signed to Elton John's Rocket Records label.
But in '74, just before their album was released, lead singer, Erin Grace, disappeared.
So, now Dave Stewart has decided to release Platinum Weird's previously unavailable classic '74 album "Make Believe".
"Make Believe" is going to be released via Interscope in the U.S. on October 10th, and in the UK on the Weapons of Mass Entertainment label via Universal on October 16th.

Elton John and Dave Stewart. Now that's hilarious. Love Erin's vocals. She's gorgeous. How come I've never heard of her before? Very Jefferson Airplane meets Heart. Classic rock and roll, man. Feel the vibe. This is Stillwater all over again. Where's my backstage stage and my old copy of CREEM? When are PW coming to the UK to play some gigs?

Dude, Erin wasn't living in New Mexico. Last I heard, a friend of mine saw her eating a cheeseburger at White Castle in LA. I'm also told that she ordered a root beer and some fries. She's also cut her hair and dyed it brown. Apparently, she still looks amazing.
Can anyone verify if Ringo Starr plays drums on a couple of tracks from the '74 album?
I thought I read somewhere that Dave started his band Longdancer after PW fell apart because of Erin's disappearance.
