According to Access Hollywood, Mariah Carey & Janet Jackson might record a duet together.
Jermaine Dupri revealed that he was hoping to record a duet with Jackson and Carey.
As for Mariah Carey, she says: Jermaine keeps saying this, but Jermaine has to call me and tell me about it. I love Janet. Janet is wonderful. I'm a fan. I'll totally do it, but he's got to let me know so we can write the song.
And Janet Jackson says about the possibility of a duet with Mariah Carey: There may be truth to that.

So Mariah can swallow her mousy voice.. don't see how that would work.
I am trying to imagine what song they could possibly do together, because their music are so different - while Janet is known for her infectious dance tracks that do not demand a strong vocal, Mariah on the otherhand is known for her ballads and multi-octave voice. I think Jermaine will have to think hard to come up with something suitable in order not to let one outshine the other whether on vocal or on the dance floor.
