Vanna Bonta is back in Italy! She is in secret meetings with publishers in Milan.
Word has fanned anticipation for the long-awaited sequels to Bonta's quantum fiction novel "Flight," but other rumblings have it that multiple Bonta books have stacked up, and her coming out has sparked buzz of impending bidding wars in more than one continent for whatever's in the Bonta treasure chest of new works.
The multi-talented Vanna was only in Milan for a day before heading straight to Florence in Tuscany.
Bonta was spotted making multiple visits to San Miniato al Monte (Basilica of St Minias on the Mountain), one of the highest points in Florence that has been described as one of the most beautiful churches in Italy.
It seems the artistically authentic Bonta has roots going way deep in very deep soil.
What brings Vanna there is apparently personal, and a very deep matter of the heart because her own ancestors and members are buried in the famous cemetery, including her grandfather, Italian writer Luigi Ugolini. Wishing to remain unnamed, a person told us that every week, a Florentine shop delivers flowers to three graves there at Vanna's request. A local shopkeeper said, "Her grandfather named her after a poem in the great Dante's book for a Florentine woman known as a great love of the poet Cavalcanti, she was the flower of Florence".
