George Clooney is all for humanitarian causes, the latest is the Darfur issue.
George Clooney & his father Nick Clooney went on a week long trip to the war-torn area of Darfur in Sudan to bring attention to the tragedy occurring there.
The Clooneys, plus a cameraman and a Darfur expert, traveled to the African nation, where an estimated 180,000 people have been killed and 2 million displaced in three years of political unrest.
They returned on Monday, and plan to detail the trip at a press conference tonight with American Senators.
i think that he's doing a great job, and i would like arab people to do the same thing. To give others sudan is also part of the middle east and we have protect them. I don't think that we only need to protect our on but also others who are suffereing. For heaven sake we are in the 21 century their should be more growing and less poverty, but in some ways it's the opposite. We need to help each other in order to progress in the future.
George Clooney is a wonderful man and his humnatarian work reflects how much he cares about millions of unfortunate people around the world especially in Darfur. I really admire him for that unlike those stupid Arab Celebs who only concentrate on getting wealthier because they've never seen any kind of luxury and never think of those who can't find food and shelter.
His father is as handsome as him. :)
i think george and his father are very caring and brave men. because of seeing george on oprah yesterday regarding Darfur, i have donated money to that cause.to end the GENOCIDE. i hope God will. thank you, george and nick for bringing this terrible thing out in the open and GOD BLESS BOTH OF YOU...sincerely, kay
I agree with Leila and everyone here !so true! This is the 21st century! "War and Poverty have no excuse." (bonta) We should make sure our 'leaders' have the same visions as these amazing humanitarians who represent what is in MOST people's heart.
Hi! about Darfur -If it was possible to drop from a plane hundreds of simple cameras in areas where civilian/villagers/refugees/ are grouped and are in danger of being killed/raped/enslaved the people could take pictures of their attackers and if the attackers knew that they had cameras maybe with a recorded witness they would not attack. The cameras could be totally plastic so they could not be found if buried after they had been used. Even the Nazis with all their public hate and public actions on seeing the war was over and fearing the concentration camps would be found tried to cover up their atrocities. Please pass this on to someone(George)or someone that have an influence.
