The first Pro-Life monument to birth in the Capla Kesting Fine Art in Brooklyn's Williamsburg gallery district, is that of pop-star Britney Spears on a bearskin rug while giving birth to her firstborn, Sean. The life-size statue is entitled: Monument to Pro-Life: The Birth of Sean Preston.
The monument shows Spears posed on all fours atop a bearskin rug with back arched, pelvis thrust upward, as she clutches the bear's ears.
Lincoln Capla, the gallery co-director said: A superstar at Britney's young age having a child is rare in today's celebrity culture. This dedication honors Britney for the rarity of her choice and bravery of her decision.
Monument to Pro-Life is on view April 7th - 23rd at Capla Kesting Fine Art, Brooklyn, NY.

First of all, Britney had a scheduled c section. Second, that position would be hard to sustain for a nonpregnant person, let alone someone giving birth. Her elbows aren't even on the ground, nor are her feet. The only thing on the ground is her knees. That's some balancing act. I think she was in that position when she got pregnant, not when she gave birth.

gosh! i can't believe this either....its too fake for a person who have given birth myself.
I think it's effing gorgeous! I don't like Britney all that much, and I am definitely pro-choice, but I like the way he shows the dichotomy between birth and death (the bearskin rug), as well as the inherent sensuality of a woman giving birth.
Does anyone wish they could rotate this pic about 140 degrees?
