Dana Reeve, widow of actor Christopher Reeve, has died yesterday at the age of 44, after a short battle with lung cancer.
After around a year and 8 months of Christopher Reeve's death, on August 9th, Dana announced that she had lung cancer.
She was one of those rare cases of lung cancer in people who've never smoked.
Dana Reeve died late Monday at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Medical Center of lung cancer.
Dana Reeve was a constant companion and supporter of her husband during his long ordeal and his work for a cure for spinal cord injuries.
She also fought for better treatments and possible cures for paralysis through the Christopher Reeve Foundation.

I have always respected her for the way she could stand all the circumstances she passed through. She is an example of a real brave woman, a faithful and patient human being.
She went through many sufferings and yet she didnt escape any of her responsibilities.
Maybe it is for this reason that God made her battle with the disease a short one. She died in peace and May God rest her soul.
