I think Tom has gone to Japan far too many times because he is now acting like a middle aged Japanese man on persuit for a 20 something youngling. Mid life crisis? You bet!!! Tom was even in Japan when a very simular releationship resulted between very young and beautiful Yumi Adachi(23) and Middle aged old man Arthur Kuroda (44).
Tom is imitating Arthur to a tee isn't he? Publicity stunt, freakish age difference which lead the public to believe it is a hoax. Both women are very young and virginal too. Both men are lovers of women of all kinds, but the last and final female is extremely young. Oh hello!!
If I were you Tom Cruise, I would run and hide. If this relationship is a shadow to Yumi Adachi and Arthur Kuroda, the couple broke up. Does this mean we can see a break up soon from Katie? So far there is a strange simularity, so this is how the break up will pursue: Katie saying " I don't think I want to marry Tom because I want to continue my career" ( In Yumi's term? I am not that into you so I am not interested.) Katie says " All my friends and fans are upset about the relationship. And this whole scientology thing? They say you are too old for me" In Yumi's term means, (age difference is a very big problem and you should be with someone your own age.) Katie says " Stop hanging all over me Tom. Do you always have to kiss , touch, make out, hold my hand every second of the day? And every time we watch a DVD,we wind up in bed." In Yumi's term's mean, (Get away from me you are smothering me so give me my space.) Katie says " I am sort of having doubts about our relationship Tom." In Yumi's terms? (I have been getting doubts Arthur so lets break up and hurry up about it. Stop stalling.")
Tom You are putting yourself in Hot Water. Young women are never ready for serious relationships with older men. In Japan? 40+ year old men are toys for us 20 something younglings.

I have heard a small handful of people complain about leaving Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes alone, because they are both adults and age does not matter in relationships. Then why is it that 75-85% of the population find it a problem and see Tom's love sick behavior as evidence to mid life crisis? Didn't Brooke Shield's send Tom two tickets to her broadway show for both Tom and Katie? One was for an adult and the other was for a child. In this day and age. Age difference obviously does matter.

As an editor, I have seen numerous accounts of definitions and critisism to relationships with celebrities. But simularities are more of a mere coincidence. I couldn't help but notice a striking resemblence to Tom and a Japanese star. Publicity stunt, difficulty believing relationship is true, age difference defiance, Tom and Arthur yes can have any woman they want, but strange as it may seem want someone extremely young for these men's middle age. And the unusual resemblence to both girls at ages 23 and 26 can pass for teens. Probably coincidence. There are differences in both however. Tom is more of an aggresor, arrogent, and very immature. Arthur is down to earth, gentle as a butterfly and is not as defiant as Tom. The girls? Katie at the age of 26 is still holding her innocence from the time she was a teen. She is soft natured and extremely shy. She does have her fair share of problems with boys. Yumi Adachi at the age of 23 is cute as a botton and has a strong childish nature. Very friendly and outgoing, she posseses a side to her that men easily mistake her for. She does pose herself as provocative, easy and loose. But has a very gentle quality and is actually very shy. Pictures are not almost worth a thousand words. It is easy to critisize but should'nt we be critisizing others who have a much larger age gap like Rod Stewart who married Rachel Hunt at the age of 45 and she at 20? Rod Stewart is also at the age of 60 engaged to a woman who is right now 33 years of age. 33 year age difference. that is the largest age difference I have seen yet. If anyone should be placing critisism on age difference, it should be done to Rod Stewart.
For me, any man who dates a woman 20 or more years in age differentia has a big problem on his hands.

I liked Tom too...but after looking into this scientology stuff, I really think he must be WAY off his rocker. How can anyone actually believe that a spaceship and aliens are our origin. Other scientologists include Lisa Marie Presley, and come on, she isn't very smart either. I will lose all respect for Katie if she converts to scientology for Tom. I like Tom Cruise because he's one of my favorite actors who made great movies like Interview with the Vampire, Vanilla Sky and The Last Samurai, but it's a shame that he's a strong believer in the teachings of Scientology which is a cult that extorts money from people. I don't think this relationship with Katie will last for years, or even months because she still has the mind of a teenager who used to dream that one day she'll marry Tom and sadly, she has converted to Scientology. I don't think it's right to abandon your beliefs so you can staisfy the other part ( I mean Tom). Tom's never been like this before even when he was dating Penelope Cruz, and he has caused some problems lately when he announced that he was against the usage of psychiatric medicine, and the water-squirting incident when he was in London promoting for his new movie. I'm afriad he's revealing another side that he concealed for years and it could be the reason why he and Nicole Kidman got divorced.

Scientology is a cult and it has turned Tom wierdo. Cult's have a way of turning people into brainwashed pschitzo's. He is middle aged and men do have male menopause too. He is in the process right now of knowing he is aging. And to any man who is 40 and over, it is scary. The feer of no longer being attracted to the opposite sex is reality. He was there long enough to learn their culture. Japanese culture is older men loooooooooove younger women. It thrills them. And they dare to marry the girls too for emotional and physical support not love.But all you hear is Aishite ru, aishite ru and the girls as sweet minded as they are always believing them. The pregnancy and chilbirth rate among older wives is low to non existent in Japan because husbands are tending to the teen and college age women. Poor thing for the wives. It is fact and happening. There are a small amount of relationships that have much older men with very young women. And a huge majority of married men dumping there middle aged or mid 30 year old wives for what? Much younger early 20 year old or mid 20 year old women. Men can be selfish and a young woman is an easy pawn to any romance.

I was in Japan too and long enough to catch on to their culture. I am a military dependant wife and it is so amazing how American men think it is ok to take advantage if asian traditions and cultures. People knew of his agenda on bringing young 18-24 year old Japanese girls into his home and some of them sleeping overnight. What shame! I also heard of this Arthur Kuroda character in which my Japanese housewife friends let me in on. He was 41 years of age and used to date a young woman of age 20. He is an actor and resides in Japan, but is a California native. What intrigues me is how these young women fall for such old guys. And this Arthur dude must have known that this girl Yumi was way too young for him and dated her anyway. I wonder what Arthurs family and friends in California must have thought of him? Were they aware that he was in between ages with Yumi's parents? Yumi's mother is 47 and Arthur is 44 and Yumi's father is 40. I can garauntee they had no knowlledge of that I'm sure. In todays society of war in Iraq, terrorism and increasing anti Americanism in the world. Guys like Arthur Kuroda and our military men out there who think it is ok for them to date young girls in middle age, only confirm immoral values Americans place across the globe. If a girls parents are close in age with the significant other, it is your responsibility to know morally she is young enough to be your own daughter. Some say age is no factor as long as it is sincerily love. I say if she is twice your age or nearly twice your age: love is Patience and understanding moral good judgement. It is also letting her the right to be with someone she will enjoy life to the potential and allowing her to grow old with someone around her age and not to watch her husband wither away so quickly. Not have her pay all your old aged medical bills so quickly. Also let her enjoy her sexuality with someone sexually compatible. What makes you older guys think you are sexually compatible with a young girl? If you ask a woman who is 20-25 who Mork and Mindy are and she has no clue? she is definately too young for you. Agree?

Maybe you should fan e-mail Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, and Mimi Rogers and find out why they really let him go. Tom Cruise has gone insane and I do not like him anymore unless he grows up and stops seeing little girls. He should stick with woman his own age. But I also agree with Esther who says Astrology does explain personality. Tom is very agressive and can be mean. But the Cancer and Saggitarius signs do have high sexual attraction. I hear Tom Cruise is crying. They say that he feels Katie has defied him by having a secret meeting. Katie says that she does not want to marry Tom right now, but she wants to grow old with someone. There is so much to say about age difference. My theory is this. With everyones complaints, most are upheld by maternal instinct. If there was a survey going around with a vote to what parent would find it an acceptable age difference at a certain stage of life. There would be a higher vote for the older stage in life. I can bet that if a 20 year old daughter was seeing a 40 year old man, most of you would be upset. but if a 30 year old daughter was seeing a 50 year old man, most of you would not grummble. Why? A 20 year old female is just starting out in life and in search of employment security, a home of her own and be able to purchase home, no mature understanding to sex and love, is just leaving teen hood. A 30 year old woman is set in life with career, home, sex and love have been readily experienced and expired, she is mature with suroundings and capable to handle the worste outcome. To make a long story short? a 20 year old is an adult. But a 30 year old is a grown up. So for all of you who think age does not matter. IT DOES. Catherine Zeta-Jones was 30 when she met Michael Douglas 55 and there was not much controversey with the relationship. But with this Tom Cruise and Katie holmes and Yumi Adachi and Arthur Kuroda? Well!! Both women are in their 20's and still childlike in the eyes of most grown ups. These girls are adults but not grown ups. So it is natural for many to be disturbed by men who are 40 or older to chase a female who is still growing up in her 20's as an adult and is not even a grown up.

Enough is enough. There is a hurricane fiasco going on here. So what if middle aged men want young 20 year olds. They are the ones who will suffer. I do not know a single relationship with a 15 to 20 or more year age difference that has lasted longer than 3 years or more with a young woman in her 20's. Tom and Katie have a good chance in surviving a long healthy prosperous loving relationship despite everyones opposition to this relationship. They are very attracted and it shows. What a load of blather here. Why is everyone so concerned with celebrity hoopla? They are human beings like the rest of us only with more fame and fortune. Who cares what Tom's religious/psychological philosophy is? You have your own. It seems to me that Tom wants a biological child to enhance his family, and maybe for whatever reasons the women he was with previously didn't have the same relationship goals or they grew apart. Tom seems healthy in a way that most people miss or ignore----he seems to be rationally selfish----which is how most humans are wired. Humans are wired to look out after their own best self-interest.
