Her big break came after working as a model in the Czech Republic, when designer Miuccia Prada signed her to a contract that made her turn the heads of fashion specialists and Vogue editors.
Her hard work paid off at last when she appeared on the cover of Vogue in the year 2001, and she got noticed by fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren and Balenciaga proceeded to sign Kurkova to deals.
She is now participating in the famous Paris Fashion Week, and is considered on of the best 30 models there.
