Although there are some that didn’t participate, the new creations that made their way to the show didn’t fail to awe car enthusiasts! The concept cars in particular were wowers! They’re totally wacky and out of this world! One is the Toyota FT-EV II concept that is electrically-powered and partly recharged by solar cells. It is operated by means of hand controls located in a bow-shaped apparatus. Other amazing creations from Toyota are the Lexus LFA and i-REAL.

The company classifies it as a PAS or Progressive Activity Sedan. This new 4-door BMW is really a new category – it’s an executive car that sports a 5-series body and provides space just like in a 7-series. Confusing? BMW product and technology communications manager Tom Plucinsky clears things up, “This car is designed less for a specific market, but more for a customer who needs all the utility of an SUV, minivan or wagon, but would not want the association with those types of vehicles.”

BMW developed this car using the GINA principle or Geometry and Functions In “N” Adaptions. Except for the 8-cylinder powertrain package, everything else about the Visionary Model is all new. You’ll especially be awed by its physical appearance. I think this is the exact match if you are looking for a batman vehicle. Yes, it is really that sleek. I use the words unleashed and monstrous because the car is truly an unbelievable strong vehicle. Only those two words can describe its capabilities and characteristics.
The Audi R8 Diesel is a melange of the diesel-powered R10 TDI and the R8 supercar.
Under a sleek, clear glass cover, it hides a powerful V12 6.0-litre twin-turbo engine, which can push the car from 0 to 100 kph in only 4.2 seconds! It’s top speed reaches 300 kph.
Its structure helps with the speed because it mainly combines lightweight aluminium panelling and an aluminium space frame, which helps keep weight to a minimum.

Mazda let their ingenuity rule when they developed their new concept car – the Taiki car. If ever you don’t have any vision of what a futuristic car look like then you have to take a look at Taiki. Mazda already has several concept cars on their sleeve but I think Taiki beats them all in the uniqueness of its design. Mazda takes inspiration from the image of a pair of Hagoromo. A Hagoromo is a subject in the Japanese legend, it is a flowing robe that enables the to fly down from the sky.

Want a car of the future? How about the Hyundai Qarmaq CUV concept car? What is new about this car is that it makes use of GE Plastics technology. Through this technology, designers of the Qarmaq are able to develop three-dimensional shapes that give the car a whole new design that’s so unlike any other. Looking at its exterior you will see the unique C-shaped side windows that make the road below very visible. And wrapped around the whole vehicle, enclosing the C-shaped windows is the glazing area that employs the GE Lexan polycarbonate resin. This wrap around glazing draws attention to the new window design.
