Winning and staying ahead is the top priority of many car makers especially in the face of the 2012 LA Auto Show Design Challenge. While other car makers have yet to reveal their creations, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its entrant in the challenge, the Mercedes-Benz Ener-G-Force Concept!
This concept vehicle manifests what a law enforcement vehicle will look like in 2025, according to Mercedes-Benzís point of view anyway.
The first impression that the Ener-G-Force Concept exudes is intimidation. It looks so solid and can beat down any other vehicle on the road! The sculpted bodywork, huge tires and wheels shout reliability. But looking closely, its maker did not do away with the style that is so much like the G-Wagen vehicle made in 1979. Those similarities are found in the power dome hood, upright grille and blinkers integrated in the arches of the wheel.
Its intimidating appearance is not the only thing this concept car boasts. Its power train is impressive too and environment-friendly! It is powered by hydrogen and water serves as its main fuel. If you will notice, the roof has what looks like a cargo rack on the roof. That contraption is actually there to collect water to be stored in tanks and then directed to a converter that turns it into hydrogen.
Clearly, the Mercedes-Benz Ener-G-Force is one impressive concept vehicle! Itís worth watching out for at the upcoming L.A. Auto Show!
