Yet another recall, this time it’s issued by Nissan. The recall is going to be a huge one with global recall target around 540,000 units. This is huge but still, not as massive as Toyota’s which reach more than 8 million. Out of this figure, 32,147 vehicles with defective fuel gauge and 15, 670 vehicles with deficient brake pedal pins are in the Middle East.
Safety Issues Prompts Nissan Recall
There are two safety issues that Nissan pointed out as causes of the recall. One is faulty brake pedal pins and the other is inaccurate fuel gauges. Nissan is taking responsibility and is urging Nissan owners to call Nissan’s regional center for assistance. Affected models will be immediately repaired.
Nissan has already named the affected models. The company is recalling Titan pickups, Armada sport utility vehicles, and Quest minivans for faulty brake pedal pins. Titan pickup, Armada SUV, Frontier pickup, Xterra SUV, and Pathfinder SUV are being recalled for defective fuel gauge.
