You may be wondering about the word ‘Crossover’ in the title ... well, I’ll get to that in a minute!
Toyota unveiled its newest design, The Venza, at the Detroit Motor Show.
The Venza isn’t your usual SUV, but it’s a combination of an SUV-like utility with the driving dynamics of a sports sedan ... hense the word Crossover!
This sexy vehicle is a four-door beauty that offers seating for five adults. It’s calculated height is perfect for better visibility and its overall ground clearance is less than on a typical crossover.
On the inside, The Venza is comfortable and spacious. Its console is easily reachable for both the driver and his front seat passenger. The console - by default - contains an MP3 storage compartment, a six-disc CD player and a multi-information display.
Other standard features include, a multifunction steering wheel, automatic dual-zone air conditioning and an electro-chromic rear-view mirror.
The Venza will be powered by a choice of two engines; a standard 2.7 liter, four-cylinder motor with undisclosed horsepower figures, or an optional 3.5 liter V-6 with 268 horsepower and 246 lb-ft of torque available!
As for safety measures, Toyota has featured its STAR safety system on the Venza, incorporating anti-lock brakes, traction control, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, and vehicle stability control.
If you’d like to get yourself a Venza, you’ll have to wait a while. The Venza hits showrooms beginning in late 2008.
