VW Phaeton Coupe

Try and try until you succeed seems to be Volkswagen’s motto in developing vehicles. Because their previously released VW Phaeton did not make a great start in some part of the world, specifically in the big market of North America, Volkswagen is collaborating with the British sports and racing car manufacturer Lotus in giving a “face-lift” to the Phaeton that was released back in 2003 to 2005. In fact a prototype of the next generation Phaeton was seen recently cruising along the British soil, specifically around Hethel where Lotus is located, although the two car companies are staying tight-lipped over this speculation.

Some reports just whet the appetite of VW enthusiasts by saying that the next generation Phaeton could probably come as a four-door version and a two-door version; definitely a sleeker and sportier type of vehicle that boasts excellent appearance and power. If you’ve been around in 2003 to 2005, you’ll recall that one of the reasons why the Phaeton became a flop is that its image which is a big hulking vehicle that one would probably find hard to manage on the road. Speculations have it that the new Phaeton could possibly even be a great competitor to the Mercedes Benz CLS and BMW CS when it finally gets out in a year or two.
