Competition is really tough in the automobile industry and only the most innovative and revolutionary carmakers will remain strong in its standing. One of the avenues that car companies choose to go to is expansion, making their production visible to the larger population. This time the joint forces of Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) Toyota will pave the way for the production of Toyota Camry in the SIA plant. An investment worth $230 million now gives SIA the means to develop 100, 000 units of Toyota Camry every year. And because of this investment, 1,000 jobs are created at the Subaru plant.
This new collaborative endeavor is inducted in the program recently held in the Lafayette, Indiana. The ceremony was graced by the presence of SIA parent company Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) president Ikuo Mori and Toyota Motor Corporation president Katsuaki Watanabe.
So aside from the Toyota Camry, SIA is also the venue where the Subaru Tribeca, Subaru Outback and Subaru Legacy are produced.
