Yara, Inta Minee

Lebanese singer Yara has released her new album 'Inta Minee'.
Her new album, which is a Melody production, isn't much different than her usual; romantic songs that bring the world of imagination and fantasy to the listener.
Her new album contains 10 songs in the different Arabic dialects; Egyptian, Lebanese and Khaliji.
Her song 'Inta Minee' (which carries the album's title) has already been made into a music video and is running on the Music channel Melody.
The video was shot under the direction of Leila Kanaan and was shot between Tripoli and Jumaizeh in Lebanon.

Nadine Labki Honored

Usually it is the actors who get awarded and honored for their work, but in all honesty there is an entire crew that may not appear on our screens that work perhaps more than the actors. One director who has made her mark and impressed people all over the world with her ability and her perseverance is Lebanese director Nadine Labki. Nadine was recently granted the French Medal for the Arts and Literature, a great honor especially for an Arab artist.

]]> The Minister of Culture herself presented Nadine with this award exclaiming that France had believed in Nadine and she did not let France down. Obviously this is great for Nadine but it is sad that she receives such a great honor from the European world whilst in the Arab world she faced a lot of criticism from people who were unhappy with her so called �controversial� ideas.

Future Super Star 5 - Results 10

This is it! It all boils down to the final two contestants who will be battling it out for the title of Super Star 2008!
Three contestants, Abdel Majid, Elie and Murad ... one of them will be the Star!
The results were out yesterday and it was heartbreaking to see Murad from Palestine leave.
All three contestants deserve to be in the final, but seeing Murad leave was very unfortunate. Good Luck Murad!
The title now will go either to Abdel Majid or to Elie!

Mirhan Interview on Mehwar TV

Star Academy doll Mirhan appeared on a show on Mehwar channel a few days ago and chatted with the host of Eh Nitham.
As usual, Mirhan looked her 'coquette' self and was very cordial in her answers.
Sang a few tunes and did impressions of Asalah, Haifa and Elissa! (Remember when she used to that inside the academy?)
Mirhan spoke frankly about the interview Sayidati magazine did with her and she pointed her finger at them for changing her words and twisting what she said.
As for her relationship with Shahinaz, she said she's got a very good relation with her.

]]> Mirhan also revealed that on the contrary of the rumors going around these days, she has no interest in following int he footsteps of Haifa Wehbe, she's got her own style and her own vision of her future plans.
Mirhan also said that she hasn't signed any contract with any production company yet, but is studying a couple of offers and will announce a deal soon.
She also congratulated Mohammad Qwaider for his new contract with Mawla Productions.

Check out this Dog�s Funny Face

When I feel stressed out or when I feel low, I try to look at funny pictures. When there is a funny pic in front of me of course the tendency is to laugh, thus the mood is lightened up. I love dogs, so in browsing for cute dog pics here�s what I found! This made me laugh at the same time felt sorry for this doggy. I don�t know what the owner was thinking of when he got hold of its mouth and stretched it like that. But I must admit it looks funny drawn out like that and his tongue stuck right up his nose.

]]> But hey, take a good look at the doggy�s face. He doesn�t look all too happy with what his owner is doing with his mouth, does he? Maybe if he could talk, he�d say to the man, �how�d you like this thing done to ya?�

Well at least this made ma laugh somewhat.

Saad and Diaa: It�s Over

Perhaps more famous than the students of Star Academy 5 are the relationships that blossomed during the stay of the students in the academy. And perhaps the most controversial relationship was that between Saad and Diaa. Everyone was interested to find out what was going to happen to these two when they left the academy. Would they get engaged like Asmaa and Adnan? Well Saad has spoken out and said that although they were comfortable together there is nothing more than friendship between them.

]]> He says that they still speak but now each of them has their own career and that they will see each other when the entire group gets together. I�m not surprised to be honest because it seemed to me the whole time that Saad was leading Diaa on. When you are �comfortable� with someone you do not act the way Saad did with Diaa! But I�m also glad that they have finally ended things because both are very talented and cannot afford to be distracted.

Many have claimed that Egyptian Cinema is deteriorating and that the best way of returning the quality it one possessed is to go back to the �golden days� and use the great stars of the day as a muse. And what better way to honor the amazing stars of the past than to produce a series documenting their lives? One of these stars being honored in this manner is Ismail Yasin in a series named �Abou Dehka Ginan�. For those who are unfamiliar with this great name, Ismail Yasin was one of the best comedians of all time

]]> Till this day he brings laughter to homes all over the world, his work is still appreciated and I believe it will be for years to come. The series will be star studded and although they still haven�t found who will be playing Ismail Yasin, many stars will make guest appearances to play celebrities who had been part of Ismail Yasin�s career. But will this series do such a great star justice?

Mohammad Qwaider in Beirut

Star Academy star Mohammad Qwaider is currently in Beirut to shoot a music video and record a couple of new songs.
Mohammad also got invited to Jaras TV by Nidhal Ahmadieh and he received several calls from his fellow Starac comrades like Zaher, Mirhan and Adnan.
He's also there on a personal note to attend the engagement of Samir Mawla, Wissam Mawla's brother. The party hosted a couple of famous faces like Saber Al Rebai, Walid Tawfiq and Mouen Shref.

On another note, Mohammad has officially withdrawn from the Starac tournee and will be going on a tour of his own soon!

Ragheb Alamah New Album Banned in Kuwait!

Ragheb Alamah's latest album 'Baashak' has been banned in Kuwait and has been pulled from the racks to the last cd!

Ragheb was shocked when learning of this drastic decision and headed to Kuwait to meet with some officials and his production company.

No reasons have been given for this decision and thus representatives of Ragheb's production company Back stage Production are heading to Kuwait in efforts to solve this problem and get the album back on store racks!

Zaher At The Opening Event of A New Magazine

This week�s picture is of LBC Star Academy graduate Zaher Saleh at the opening event of Al Waleed Magazine. The man next to Zaher is Zakria Faham, the Editor in Chief of Al Waleed Magazine.
