The 6th episode of Arabs Got Talent last Friday ended the first round of the program and paved the way to the second round; the Semi finals.
The episode was entertaining and very diverse, as usual. It was also a positive change from the 5th episode, thus it was really full of worthy talents and skills.

The first talent that caught my attention and which the judges also loved, was 17-year-old Emarati Shama Hamdan.
This girl has a clean talent of playing the guitar and singing ... simple but beautiful.
She deserves the three "YES" 100%.

Then there was the Super Human, Abdul Mughith Zaitani from Morocco, who has a rubber body that can bend any which way! His limbs move in impossible ways!
Kinda' reminds me of something from a Fantastic 4 movie! No?

What did you think of the episode?
What did you think of Shama's performance?
What did you think of Abdul Mughith .. isn't he amazing?

Later, the judging panel discussed and debated about which 48 talents to move to the next round ... and it was a very difficult task to choose from a whopping and very talented 150 talents!

Did you know that true beauty is all about perfect facial symmetry? This has been the case ever since Leonardo Da Vinci’s days. Today, and even before, it is quite rare to find a person who has the perfect facial measurements but Britain managed to find one in 18-year-old Florence Colgate.

She’s been proclaimed as “Britain’s Most Beautiful Face” because of her almost perfect facial proportions! She was discovered thanks to the Britain-wide contest by Lorraine Cosmetics. The contest strictly stipulated that contestants have to be natural beauties, with no plastic surgery and chemical enhancements.

Of all the 8,000 contestants, Colgate was chosen because she has optimum ratio between her mouth, eyes, chin and forehead! The ideal proportion between the eyes needs to be 46 percent of the width of the face and Colgate got a very close 44 percent in this aspect.

Candidates had their photos taken minus makeup. It was no big thing for Colgate since she doesn’t wear makeup most of the time but she does put on light foundation, concealer, mascara and Vaseline. Being gifted with natural good looks, Colgate is very happy and content with the way she looks. And with this, she hopes she can be an inspiration to other women and think that they don’t really need to wear lots of makeup in order to look beautiful. Indeed natural beauty is best!

For her, the secrets to natural beauty include keeping the skin clean, drinking lots of water and eating a healthy diet.

The 18-year-old Colgate works in a chip shop on Saturdays while studying for her A Levels at Dover Grammar School. But with this win, I think her direction’s about to change as her face is going to be shown in billboards all over Britain.

Even though President Barack Obama announced last May 1, 2011 that Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was killed during a Navy SEAL Raid in Pakistan, lots of people around the world are skeptical since they didn’t see his dead body and that includes treasure hunter Bill Warren.

Because President Obama failed to provide proof of Bin Laden’s death, he announced his intention to search for the proof himself back in June 2011 but his efforts didn’t yield anything. But now, he says that he has located where Bin Laden’s remains are! He told Spanish newspaper that the body is 200 miles west of the Indian city of Surat!

Warren also told the paper that he was the only one with the information. He found it through the satellite photos given to him by his source at the Pentagon. He also said that Bin Laden’s body was placed in a body bag and attached with weights so that it will stay at the bottom of the ocean.

Now, Warren intends to retrieve that body and run a DNA test on it to make sure that it is indeed the terrorist! But in order to do so he needs to raise $200,000! Since the body is surely thousands of feet below the water special equipment are necessary. He’s asking for donations in a site set up for the operation. It will take one week to three months and like in all treasure hunting operations, there’ no guarantee that it will really be a success.

Could Bin Laden’s body be really thousands of feet under the ocean or perhaps he’s still alive?
Would you donate to Bill Warren’s cause?

What happened during the 5th episode of Arabs Got Talent on Friday?
Where the talents over rated? Where the contestants full of hot air rather than talent?
Some where! And this time even Najwa Karam used the buzzer a lot!

I'm not going to go through all those who auditioned, but here's a couple that left a lasting impression ...

Sama Quartet from UAE were a group that tried, but failed ... they need a lot of practice and even more harmony! Naser Al Gasabi was speechless! They did go off tune a few times ...

As for Arab Eagle ... well, the dude was surely full of hot air! He was brave enough and confident enough to go up there and do his thing, but he deflated really quickly!
It's not my opinion only, but the audience booed the guy!

Then there was that moment when Najwa made Naser go up there on stage and do a little acrobatics of his own! He got a very quick, three buzzes and that was maybe the funniest moment of the episode!

What did you think?

The 4th episode of Arabs Got Talent was a surprise-filed one indeed!
There were so many diverse talents from all over the Arab world and one in particular cheated death!
Tunisian Radhwan Shilbawi, who's got a talent for Acrobatics, did well until the last minute of his performance when he slipped and fell a few meters and hit his head on the floor and bruised his eye bad!

Another amazing yet dangerous performance was from Moroccan Abdel Hafith Al Mhourak, who calls himself Superman!

I particularly loved the Moroccan Taekwondo troop from Tangiers.
The group are so organized and talented, they amazed me with every move they made.
How original is it, dancing to a tune while doing some serious Taekwondo moves!

I wasn't so much impressed by the Syrian dude who pulled one on the judges and managed to convince then that he doesn't speak good Arabic!
But he did have a certain statement that he wanted to let out into the world and he did. For that I respect him.

What about Kathem Al Saher's nephew?
Saher Al Saher plays the piano and managed to change the judges opinion from a NO to a YES! What did you think of his playing? Should he have moved on to the next phase?

I didn't like the Iraqi dude who Pops and Locks! I thought he didn't really Pop & Lock, could have been much better and much more sophisticated.

What other talents in the 4th episode did you like? ... or Not like for that matter?

A few days ago, Lebanese singer Dominique Hourani posted on twitter pictures of herself wearing "sexy controversial lingerie" or what I simply prefer to call, a revealing red dress!
Because of these pictures which by the way were taken in a studio on top of a motorcycle, Dominique got several offers to become a model by many lingerie companies however she refused all these offers according to what she said to MBC.

Dominique also told MBC that she didn't mean to make a buzz or anything when she posted these pictures of her, she believes that this is just a simple dress.

Although she did elaborate a bit more about this on her Twitter account and said that she posed like such, because she is sure that most men like the color red and would like to see her posing in red lingerie on a motorcycle!!!

Check out these photos of Dominique Hourani in red lingerie and let us know what you think!

The third episode of Arabs Got Talent was an extremely entertaining one!
It started with Palestinian lawyer and impersonator, Mohammad Attah, who has the most amazing ability to mimic animal sounds!

Then the cutest little sisters from Lebanon, did some classic acrobatics with fabric hanging from the ceiling. Their smiles are even more attractive than the show they put on.

Then came some Rap and Hip Hop acts from Saudi Arabia and Morocco, and then from Jordan came Subhi Masalmeh, a simple and spontaneous man from Jordan who sells corn cobs on a trolley.

The there were some talents from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Morocco and Tunisia.

And there was another participant from Palestine, who does beatboxing.
He was impressive and the judges were very happy with his act.

And then there were those who were not accepted ...
I was particularly entertained by that Jordanian, who makes some noise by hitting black & white bottles with a stick!

Syrian singer and Super Star finalist, Rouwaida Attieh was the guest of Coke Studio on MBC last night.
Rouwaida shared the episode with a Gypsy group from the Balkans, specifically Yugoslavia, and the mix of both types of music, Arabic and Gypsy, was an unforgettable one.

Another singer sharing the episode was Lebanese Gypsy, Bilal.

What caught my attention, other than the great "Fusion" music, was that Rouwaida seems to be a whole lot full of herself!
She even said that she's the crowned queen of Arabic music ... !
Now the thing is, no one can argue that she's got one of the grandest voices in the Arab world today!

What do you think? Is she?
And even if she was the best, should she be so frank about it and call herself a queen?!

Meet little Rahaf, Haifa Wehbe's granddaughter. Don't be shocked! This seems to be very true!
Famous magazine Sayidati published photos of little Rahaf, the daughter of Haifa's daughter, Zainab. So this automatically makes Haifa a grandma!

Zainab and Haifa have been away from each other for a very long time and the two must have inner wishes of meeting again ... will this baby bring mother, daughter and granddaughter together again after being estranged for so long?!

The thing is, Haifa refused to admit several times that she does indeed have a daughter .. I guess this erases all this and puts Haifa in a corner ... no?

The second episode of Arabs Got Talent was a fun filled one on Friday night.
The judges were all in a good mood and so were the contestants ... most of which qualified to the next stage!
The stage saw an array of different skills and talents, some of which were usual like singing and dancing, while others included magic, action stunts and acrobatics.

One contestant in particular really made me laugh ... the Moroccan poet!

Did "Lord Gaga" catch your attention? What did you think of him?

Did you watch the show?
Which skill did you like best?
Which skill did you think was too ordinary to pass to the next stage?
