Things are not the same in the Egyptian series industry, internet requests that were once posted on special groups and various forums and got neglected are now an effective way to deliver a strong message.

More than 3 months have passed since the merger of two of the biggest players of paid TV in the Arab world, Showtime and Orbit. The network has started big advertising campaigns; one of these campaigns is the one that some Egyptian actors appear in to publicize that the network has 75 great channels now … These ads raise some questions in my mind about the future of paid TV in the Arab world and what will motivate and urge the viewer to subscribe to any of these networks…

The latest talent show underway is Najm Al Khaleej.
The show is in search of that one special and unique voice that will bring the Khaleeji song to even higher levels!
Although past seasons have been strictly open for The Gulf citizens, which i find very logical since it is Najm Al Khaleej they're looking for, this year the competition was open for talents from all over the Arab world.

The rumor mill has been grinding away for the past two years on the story of Bab El Hara's director Bassam Mulla and his fallout with actor Abbas Al Nouri.
Some reports said that it was a money problem while others reported that personal problems got in the way and other reports were that Al Nouri left because of a weak script!
Well, all these rumors will be put to sleep and the truth will be laid out on the table of Kalam Nawaem on MBC1 this coming Sunday.

Egyptian actor Adel Imam will be returning to the silver screen soon with a new TV series entitled 'Al Araab' or The Godfather.
The series is set for 2011 and will bring back Adel imam to our TV screens after an absence of around 30 years! Yes! It was 30 years ago that he starred in the TV series 'Dumou3 fi 3uyoun Waki7a'.

The newest TV show to hit your TV screens, and hit is just a slight idea of what's to come, is the Arabic version of the show 'Gladiators'.
The show will be aired on LBC and will see 36 contestant from around the Arab world fight it off with 14 lean, mean, fighting machines!

Have you heard about the new TV series in the works? It stars Amr Diab and may cost a whopping 40 Million EGP!!! And this is only the first estimation of the budget!!!

Turkish TV series aren't the only ones to have invaded our TV channels, but it seems Korean TV series have found their way to our TV screens as well!
During Ramadan, another Arabic-dubbed series 'Women Under The Sun' was aired on some TV channels, like Moroccan channel 2M.

You must have gotten word that MBC is going to start broadcasting blockbuster movies dubbed into Arabic on both MBC1 and MBC MAX.
Movies like Braveheart, Lord of The Rings and Troy will be available for the Arab audience in their own language, Arabic and only Arabic.

For the past month each guest in Il Meastro had to leave a confession at the end of the show. But the audience were left puzzled. The audio of the confession was cut off and a song was played. The confessions were to be revealed in the finale of Il Meastro.

Jokingly confessed that she steals money from her husband.

Confesses that she feels shes very bold with her opinions, and doesn't have anything to confess because she doesn't have any secrets.
