You will no doubt remember Amal El Anbari one of Star Academy’s most spoken about contestants. For all those Amal fans out there you will be pleased to hear that she will be working with Mohanad El Greydan on his first composition which Amal will sing in the Gulf accent. This single will hold the title of ‘Dey Hayatak’ and I believe will be Amal’s first single outside of the Academy! Amal traveled to Kuwait where she is finalizing several contracts and where she recorded this new song.
Its official: Star Academy Winner Shada Hassoun has been given a ‘Diplomatic Passport’ by Iraqi officials! A source stated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Iraq decreed that Shada’s new passport be finalized and sent to her through the Iraqi Embassy with all due haste. This is obviously a huge honor for Shada but what has outraged many Iraqi’s is that members of the Iraqi National Football team who recently won the ‘Asian’ cup were refused this honor!
So what does it mean to carry a diplomatic passport? It means that for some countries she will not require a Visa and will receive special treatment wherever she goes! To be very honest I do not see what Shada accomplished to receive this token! Yes, she was successful in the last season of Star Academy and yes she has a beautiful voice but she hasn’t done her country any service that deserves a diplomatic passport! Maybe it was the CNN segment on her that did the job! What do you think?

LBC TV has recently released the first video clip of Star Academy 4 winner Shatha Hassoun and I made sure to watch it a number of times before publishing anything about it…
Today, after I watched the video clip another time, I couldn’t help myself but to write about it and share what I think with you.
For a person who was very lucky like Shatha, and with the enormous press coverage she had when she was announced a winner, not only in the Middle East and North Africa but literally all over the world, she was all over the news on TV channels like CNN, BBC, TF1 and others …
On the other hand, Shatha has lots of fans all over the world and especially in Iraq and Morocco…

According to several websites and some magazines, Moroccan Star Academy 4 student Amal got married to a Lebanese business man, Osama Faham, who lives in Kuwait and who is the brother of her manager Zakaria Faham, who was thought to have been the one in a relationship with Amal.
That’s the biggest surprise which has been announced so far by Amal who is in Kuwait right now to shoot a TV Commercial for a famous international jewelry brand!
It's been a long time since we last saw LBC Star Academy 3 graduate Maya Nehme and Starac 4 graduate Carlo Nakhleh; they are now presenting a new TV show on LBC TV called Quiz Night Live...
What do you think of this program? Should Carlo and Maya just present such programs and put aside their musical careers? It seems that this is the only kind of TV shows that starac students are able to work on and make their living from; Salma and Bashar from Star Academy 2 are also presenting a similar program on LBC TV too!
A lot of people argued that the reason Shatha Hassoun won in the latest season of Star Academy was the fact that she represented Iraq and that because of this she got immense media coverage even from the CNN. However, it seems that Shatha only represented Iraq because she didn’t have a Moroccan passport.
This changed recently when the Moroccan government decided that seeing as which Shatha had lived in Morocco her whole life that she should be granted the Moroccan citizenship.

Remember that episode of Star Academy when Chris De Burgh promised the beautiful Lebanese contestant Tina a song that they would record together? Well Chris De Burgh is obviously a man of his word because he and Tina just concluded the recording of two songs. The first titled ‘Raging Storm’ is written and composed by Chris De Burgh and is sung by him and Tina, the second song is titled ‘Live for the day’ and Tina wrote the Arabic lyrics for it.

I know that LBC Star Academy season 5 is very close and so, I decided to publish all the photos of Star Academy 4 that we have and we never published until now.
