We are the ones who make a brighter day...; Well after 24 years, Syrian singer Rouwaida Attieh is coming back with a new song and new video clip that has the same idea but with a slight difference; it's in Arabic and it's not written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, but by Salim Assaf.

From the first photos of Rouwaida's new video, it seems nice and worth watching especially with the 200 children that participated in this music video symbolizing a new generation that says NO to war and discrimination.

It is extremely common for TV presenters to ask ‘seasoned’ singers what they think of the potential and voices of others who are currently trying to make it in the world of Arab music! So it was no surprise when Nishan as part of the show ‘Taratata’ asked singer Asala this very question, her answer however surprised many!

Yesterday night i was zapping through the hundreds of Satellite channels on TV and came across a song on one of the Arabic Music channels that caught my attention.
The song made me stop changing the channel becasue it sounded to me like another one of those standard Arabic, Yuri Marqadi songs! Yet, it wasn't Yuri singing! The song is entitled 'Laki Qalbi'. Watch the music video here.
After a couple of minutes, the credits rolled and the name 'Douzi' came up!

We're following up the story of George Wassouf and his being arrested in Sweden for possession of Cocaine.
As you may have already heard, Wassouf got released from jail and has arrived yesterday in Beirut, where hoards of journalists and fans were at his welcome at the airport.
So, what does Wassouf say about this incident?
Wassouf tells the media that he is innocent and must have been framed.
He suspects who ever did this, wanted to stop the Stockholm concert from happening (which it did).
He also said that the Syrian ambassador stood by him in this ordeal and helped in releasing him.

A couple of our friends have sent us some breaking news over this past week-end concerning Syrian singer George Wassouf.
Wassouf was in Sweden to hold a much awaited concert in Stockholm, where thousands of his fans from around Europe flied in to see him perform.
Unfortunately and to the surprise of his fans, the concert was canceled and the fans were left standing and waiting for nothing all night!
The question is: Why was the concert canceled?
Well, Wassouf was arrested by the Swedish police and dragged out of his Sheraton suite to the slammer after being caught with 30 grams of cocaine!
Yes, believe it! This ain't no rumor!

A Syrian actress Madiha Kneifati was launched into stardom through being a model on a couple of music videos. But after that she went up, and it looked like nobody could top her. Perhaps what helped her most were her soft but sweet looks and her uncontested ability to bring across a characters emotion to the audience. Madiha obviously does not like staying in a specific role or even a specific genre! She is always jumping for historical series to sit-coms, and she is successful in whatever she does!

A tragic event occurred around 15 days ago, Iraqi singer Majid Al Mohandes was in a terrible car accident in France. The injuries he sustained were all in the facial area and although he had been in a coma his condition is becoming more and more stable. After waking up from his coma he is feeling better but because of the procedure on his injured jaw he will not be able to talk for a while.

Well for all those Janat fans out there you will be disappointed to know that the General Manager of GN4ME- Janat’s production company- has decided to delays the release of her now completed album till the end of October. The reason for this being that he wants to release it a time that is far away from Eid and people going back to school in order for the album to receive the success if deserves.
