Online dating is getting more popular everyday all over the world and many people are already signed up to a certain online dating service. Some people have great success stories at online dating, they met their other half online, organized a first date and many of them get married at the end. Others think online dating is stupid and believe that you can never have a real relationship online ... There are also people who have made lots of friends online but when it comes to the romantic part, they believe words on a monitor would never be as laying their eyes on a guy or a girl and get to know them face to face ...

What do you think of online dating?

Hi, I just came across this website by luck and I was inspired to write a little about my story. I am an American man living in the U.S. (Tennessee) and I have been married to a Muslim Kurdish girl for over 3 years. As you can probably guess, this was not the situation that her family had planned for her and she had to run away to be with me.

Here in America, many Muslim girls run away from home with guys, but most return home in a few months heartbroken and sorry for what they did. Most of the time the girl's family accepts them back into the house, even if they have had a child outside of marriage…

Once in our lifetime, at least once we found our self having a friend who is from the opposite sex… And when we talk about him/her in our conversations we always say: oh, he is just a friend, but, is he really JUST A FRIEND? Our elders always say these kinds of friendships always lead to some place dark like one of us starts having feelings for the other and other things. What do you think? Tell us some of your stories we can't wait to hear 'em!

We all probably heard before about ‘middle age crisis’ which means that men, when they reach a specific age, late forty’s, just give up their families; wife and children, and go look for another woman to renew their youth as they say. Men always deny that and assume that they are just not happy in their lives which lasted for at least 15-20 years since he is at forty’s. Do you think it is a myth? Did you ever see it or even experienced it in your life (e.g. your parents)? Please share with us your opinion and experience.

I thought and thought about what to write under this title, but I had no idea how long would it take me to write all what I have in mind... Have you heard of the Bahraini princess Mariam Al Khalifa and the US marine Jason Johnsons story?

The story started in January 1999 when Johnson was sent to serve his duty for one year in Bahrain. Mariam Al-Khalifa is a relative of Bahrain’s king, Sheik Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa.

The couple met at a mall and immediately fell in love. Johnson was a strict Mormon Christian and she was a Muslim. After a series of incidents, which involved the secret police of Bahrain following the Princess with the young marine, her family were informed and ordered an end to the romance. However the young and hopeful couple continued to secretly exchange letters through a store employee at the mall.

There are many Arab Canadian, Americans, Europeans around in here, so we all must be enduring some kind of "similar" challenges. No I’m not talking about the London bombing and its implication on the Muslim/ Arab communities outside.

My topic is about finding the right match, and given the demographics, i.e. being a "minority", it is then, very hard to find Mr. right or Miss right...

Old barriers are being broken down all around us. Interracial marriages, single parenthood by choice, open committed gay/lesbian relationships represent examples of alternative life options that, unthinkable few years ago, today are becoming part of the mainstream. Nevertheless, all of them were met with resistance, and no acceptance. However the resistance is less today since numbers of people feel empowered to live their life in accordance to their own needs, beliefs, and values.

The people are for the most part, sane, intelligent, responsible and productive member of society; many of them happen to be older women.

Should Polygamy be illegal in Muslim countries?

Polygamy has been practiced by mankind for thousands of years. King Solomon (peace be upon him) is said to have had seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines.
Among all the polygamous societies in history there were none which limited the number of wives except Islam, the regulations concerning polygamy limit the number of wives to four while making the man responsible for all of the women involved.

Taking the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ; He was married to Khadijah, for twenty-five years. It was only after her death when he had reached the age of fifty that he entered the polygamy to create alliances or to show the Muslims how to treat their spouses under different conditions of life...

Why are arab/muslim men so inhibited in their sexual relations with their wives? I am an American woman married to a Tunisian. I, along with several of my husbands friends wives have the same issue with our sexual relationships. Our men are selfish lovers and frankly have no clue how to please a woman, nor do they try.

Is this cultural because they are taught sex is dirty. And why are they so fast to be done?
