The 12th contest of Miss Tunisia took place last week and the winner among the 24 candidates that participated from 24 regions of Tunisia was Donia Rekik from Tunis.

Donia was chosen not only for her physical beauty but also for her qualities and good manners.

Congratulations to Donia.

CBS, the company where he worked since 1948, is planning a tribute for the man who made a big contribution in changing the news industry. He was the creator of the successful “60 Minutes.” The tribute is scheduled today, Monday, October 19, in New York City. New Yorkers can witness it at the Frederick P. Rose Hall at Jazz in the Lincoln Center. It will start at 11 am.

This week, the son of the King of Bahrain, Sheikh Naser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, married the daughter of the Governor of Dubai, Sheikha Sheikha Bint Mohammad Bin Rashed Al Maktoum.

A pioneer in the television news has said his final goodbye. Don Hewitt died on Wednesday after his battle with pancreatic cancer. He died at the age of 86. Mr. Hewitt worked for more than half a century in the news. This man is the one behind the program 60 Minutes, which was first aired on September 24, 1968. He conceptualized this TV newsmagazine to be a straightforward and simple way of presenting a story that’s happening in the community. It was a stroke of a genius because until now it is still one of the most successful and most watched programs on television.
