If you know a bit about New York city, then the Brooklyn Bridge must be one of the things you know!
It's opening ceremony was way back in May 1883 and it drew thousands of spectators and even the then-president, Chester A. Arthur!
The Brooklyn Bridge, which connects Brooklyn and Manhattan, took 13 years to build and cost a whopping $15 million! Yup, in the 1800's that was a lot of money!
Yesterday, fireworks commenced the 5-day celebration of the bridge's 125-year birthday.
The bash included a Navy flyover, a stunning new lighting scheme, a musical tribute and even a birthday cake in the shape of the bridge!
There were also a couple of performances by the Brooklyn Philharmonic and Oscar-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch.
If you live in New York, be sure to join the celebrations and enjoy it to the max!
Gosh, How i wish i was there!
Happy Birthday!
