Egyptian singer Tamer Hosny has decided not to accept any more concerts in Ramadan, after the last one in Beirut. He also revealed that he's going to stay home during the last 10 days of Ramadan, to do nothing buy pray and read Quraan.
As for his future plans, Tamer Hosny will start shooting a new video clip from his new album, a songs entitled 'Ana Mesh Aref Atghayar'.
Tamer is also working on a new song for a cartoon film entitled snoohy, the cartoon is about the acient Egyptian Pharaohs.
Tamer wrote and composed the song and will be singing it as well.
This cartoon will air during the last two weeks of Ramandan.

After former WAMA member Mohamed Nour’s amazing success as a sole artist his fellow WAMA member Ahmed EL Shami is following in his footsteps. Just recently Ahmed shot the video clip for his single ‘Amana’ which he has now decided will air during Eid El Fitr. After the airing of the video clip Ahmed will release his new album and the first he has done by himself which he just completed recording.

For a while now there has been a dispute between two of Rotana’s favorite female artists Shereen Abdul Wahab and Angham. Well it seems that one of the executives at Rotana, Hala Sarhan, saw that it was time for this argument to end and so she orchestrated a little plan. It just so happened that Shereen and Angham and Hala would be in Lebanon at the same time for business which is where the plot began. Hala spoke to Shereen’s husband Mohammed Mustafa and Angham’s manager Ahmed Ragab and ensured that both stars were staying at the same hotel.

A lot of us were surprised to hear just recently that Egyptian singer Shereen was actually pregnant from her husband Mohammed Mustafa! However, it seems that Shereen may have known about her pregnancy way before she revealed it to the public. This is because on August 25th and whilst Shereen was in London for a concert she was suffered from receptive vomiting and with abdominal pain just 45 minutes before the concert.

The Arab worlds singers are applying the ‘milk them for all they’re worth’ approach quite successfully and using the fact that Ramadan is in the summer to raise their fees dramatically. As usual in first place with a fee of half a million E.P is Amr Diab who demands this fee for singing in one Ramadan tent for no more than two hours. Tamer Hosny charges 250,000 E.P for one performance and insists that he either sings alone or is allowed to choose who joins him in performing.

Angham may be an excellent singer and artist but she isn’t so successful in her marital life. For the second time in her life, Angham has gotten divorced and this time from Fahd, a fellow musician. The reason for the divorce is rumored to be that the two have been arguing a lot due to relations that Fahd had that Angham didn’t approve of. Neither of the two have actually made a statement regarding the reasons behind the divorce but they have said they will remain colleagues and friends especially that they have a little son.

Bahaa Sultan has decided to extend himself into the world of TV after his historic success in the music world. Bahaa is acting in a series that goes by the name of ‘Ragel West Setaat’ (A man among women) and is joined by Ashraf Abdel Baky and Intessar. Bahaa’s part is perfectly suite for him as he plays a singer who the main character goes to for guidance because he loves writing songs.

Tamer Hosny just recently finished filming 15 episodes of a new show that is solely based on his life story. Tamer demanded that the whole filming of the show be a matter of top secrecy until it actually airs. The 15 episode program is based in Tamer’s house and in every episode he discusses an aspect of his career and life including his jail experience. Some of Tamer’s friends such as Ramy Waheed and Ameer Mahrous will also be appearing to reveal some of the deepest aspects of his personality.

We all know about how the media can take one word and turn it into a serious rumour and the latest victim was Angham. Several media sources stated that Angham had began filming a new video clip and that during the shooting she had acquired serious injuries which some said lead to the seizing of all filming. Fortunately Angham managed to deny this rumour and she told reporters that she hasn’t even begun to film her next video clip.

16 year old Egyptian singer Soumaya came into the world of music with a blast of controversy, her voice was likened to Shereen and she was even accused of copying her. Soumaya comes from a very musical family and during her studying of music in Egypt, composer Ashraf Salem discovered her and composed her entire album for her. Now Soumaya is speaking about the accusations and her new album ‘Bakeyt Betwhashny’. Soumaya says the comparison between her and Shereen is unfair and that no two voices are alike and she hopes with all her heart that she can one day reach the level that Shereen reached with her music.

Many have blamed it on MBC’s program ‘Album’ but the fact is, there is a number of bands that have started surfacing especially in Egypt these days. This summer you might have heard of ‘Seneen’ a new boy band who recorded their first album and video clip both of which were a hit! A new band has released an album and video clip but this time it’s called ‘wave’. The new and different thing about this band is that it is made up of 2 males and 2 females which is a first for Arab bands generally.

Shereen is to be singing prayers during Ramadan and a duo with Ali El Haggar? Well scratch that! Shereen is expecting a bundle of joy. She has confirmed that she is expecting her first child with her husband Mohammed Mustafa! Because of this surprise and just 48 hours before Ramadan, Shereen told the creators of this Ramadan project that due to her pregnancy which is affecting her health, she won’t be able to do it!

We all know that Ruby’s manager and director for all her video clips is Dr. Sherif Sabri but it seems that he is tired of her because he has sold her to Waleed Mustafa. The name Waleed Mustafa may sound familiar and that is because he owns one of the biggest and most exclusive beaches in Marina ‘La Plage’. Nobody knows how much exactly Ruby cost Waleed as the numbers are ranging between $1 million and $3 million!

This year Ramadan is coming to us with more than just series! Media executive Suzanne Hassan has organized for Shereen Abdel Wahab and Ali El Haggar to alternate singing prayers which are to air on the Egyptian Channel 1 everyday. It’s an interesting and unique way of utilizing some of the most beautiful voices we have in Egypt and to add to it, Ali and Shereen will be coming together at the end of the month to sing a duet again about Ramadan.
