• Shatha Hassoun has wrapped up filming her debut TV series 'Rasael Min Rajol Mayet' or Letters from a Dead Man.
Shatha also has a busy concert schedule, as she'll be holding numerous ones all over the world!
Radio stations have started airing her duetto with Ilham al Madfai, which was recorded as part of an MTC Iraq ad.

• Saad Ramadan had a car accident a couple of days ago, nothing serious just a bump or two! Hamdella Al Salameh!
Saad is currently in Syria spending a few days with Adnan and Asma who is also there.
As for his music news, he's working on the final touches to his debut single. The lyrics are by Nizar Fransis and the music by Samir Sfeir, two big names, which means it's going to be a success!

• Ayman Qaisouni back to the TV screen! Ayman will be back with a new show called Ton of Cash on Abu Dhabi channel.
The show, which is considered a reality show, will go on for 13 episodes where two teams will compete to win 1.5 million Dirhams!

• The release of the new Hani Ramzi movie 'Nims Bond' has been postponed after the Egyptian censorship committee has decided to investigate the movie!
Why? Becasue it's about a policeman and the story revolves around detective stories and such issues!

• Assi Al hilani and Rouwaida Attiah recorded a duetto together last week.
The song is entitled 'Sahra Al Sharq' or the Oriental Desert.
It's worth mentioning that this song was supposed to be a joint project between Assi and Asalah Nasri! Obviously that didn't work out!

• Legendary singer Wadih Al Safi has canceled his participation in the annual Carthage Festival in Tunis this year.
His cancellation comes after he fell ill and will not be able to travel and perform.

• Lebanese singer Rayan has revealed in a recent interview that he’d love to perform a duetto with Najwa Karam or Nancy Ajram.
He also said that the new generation of female singers aren’t really singers. There are lots of so-called singers who rely on their bodies for fame, like Maria! While there are few who really have voices like Yara!

• Moroccan singer Hasna has finished shooting her latest video clip for her single ‘Youm fil Omr’. She is also working on the final touches of her latest album with Rotana.

• Stars cash in a lot of money for taking part in ads and commercials.
The latest is Nawal Al Zoghbi, who has signed a contract with a Kuwaiti company to star in their ad campaign. How much will she get? An easy 450.000 bucks!

• Fairuz will be back to grace the Egyptian stage once again for the first time in 20 years!
Fairus will hold a huge concert at the foot of the pyramids on the famous Sight and sound stage.
She has also asked the organizers to be clear that anyone attending the concert be dressed in formal suits and gowns!

• Syrian actor Jamal Sulaiman will be starring in a new big budget series about the famous Basha Mohammad Ali and shotting will begin next September.
The cast and crew will be heading to Morocco to shoot the movie inside the wall of an ancient castle, the same one where the great movie Kingdom of Heaven' was filmed.

• Star Academy graduate Hani Hussein has decided to enter the movie business! He's getting ready to shoot his first movie, entitled 'Adrenalin', which also stars Khaled Al Sawi and Iyad Nassar.
The movie will be set in a hospital and is set for a 2009 summer release.

• Star Academy 3 winner Joesph Attieh is putting the final touches to his latest video clip to his song 'Habet Aiounak'.
The clip, which will be aired in the coming few days on music satellite channels, is very romantic.

A huge lawsuit has been filed against both Haifa Wehbe and Sami Yusuf in Egypt.
Musician Jamal Salamah complained that both these singers have stolen his music and used it for their songs!
There will be an investigation in these cases soon and most probably Haifa and Sami won't be performing any more concerts in Egypt! Ouch!

Jordanian Super Star Diana Karazon announced her engagement on the air a couple of days ago on the program Paparazzi, which is broadcast on one of the satellite channels.
I find this very strange, because there were reports that Diana tied the knot a few months ago! As i recall, she got married in a ceremony which was held on 7/7/2007!

• Nancy of Al-Riyadh, a Syrian citizen who live in Saudi Arabia and who went under the knife to change his look and make it similar to Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram… he was recently asked to leave Al-Riyadh and go back to his country because he wasn’t welcome anymore…

• Syrian actor Tayam Hassan who played the role of King Farouk this last Ramadan, will be playing a Bedouin character in a new TV series experience directed by famous and respected director Hatem Ali.

• Saudi singer Abbas Ibrahim will be releasing his new album during the next few weeks, we wish him luck and we hope this new album will be as good as his first album ‘Nadet’.

- Star Academy candidates from season 1,2,3 and 4 will be together for the first time in a new TV Series produced by LBC.

• Amel Amal Hijazi is getting commercial as a Kuwaiti optical company is paying her $200,000 to shoot a contact lens commercial for the company. They were supposed to shoot it in Lebanon but as the political situation there isn't stable, they'll wait for a better time.

• Saudi businessman, Fahad Al Zahid, held a dinner in honor of Sabah where he awarded her with a big present for her continues contribution to the arts.

• Hamid Al Shairi has a new partner in song. A young Bosnian singer called "Dalinda" whom he met by chance at a music festival in Greece. She's now part of his song and video clip "Leah Ta'khoth Qalbi".

• Lebanese singer Marwa rejects the fact that she uses sex appeal in her video clips and says she is an actress who studied art. She said that even though she makes some sexy moves in her clips but that doesn't make her solely dependant on them saying there is more to a video than just sex appeal.

• Noor Al Sharif has accepted to play the role of late writer Ihsan Abdel Qadoos in a new series written by Amira Abu Al Fatooh which is expected to go under production after the Eid.

• Director Nasser Mahroos is attempting to enroll Tamer Husni and Haithem Shaker who both served jail time in the same cell for forging military release papers in a new movie of his called "Al Fariq" or "The Team". He just has to wait for the boys to finish their army time.

• Emirites artist Hussein Al Jusaimi and Nancy Ajram will appear together in a concert for the Eid in Bahrain on the 2/1/2007 which also happens to be the National day of Bahrain. This will be the second time the couple team up in a concert together after their concert in Abu Dhabi last Eid.

• Lebanese beauty Miriam Faris said she rejects the comparison made between her and Shakira saying they both have nothing fundamental in common. She said that maybe her video "Nadeeni" looked a bit like the Colombian star but each one had their own style and dance routine.

• LBC will exclusively be showing "Keef Al Hal" on the 30th of December. "Keef Al Hal" made the news as the fist full length Saudi movie with Saudi actors and actresses. The crew of the movie was recently awarded 9 Ford cars complementary of Price Al Waleed Bin Tala for their achievement for the kingdom’s cinema industry.

• Michael Jackson is going religious by singing three songs composed by Mohammed Raheem which Raheem said he had given the rights for. Raheem and Jackson signed a contract for the new songs which Raheem was chosen for composing from all the Arabic artists.

• Despite the news of actress Hanan Turk's divorce from her husband Khalid Khattab, it seems the divorce is not yet official, so Hanan's admirers shouldn't line up to marry her just yet. Khattab has recently said that they are indeed separated but not officially divorced!

• Famous Syrian star, Asala Nasri is waiting for her new unborn child from her husband director Tarik Al Aryan. Asala tried very hard to cover up her expanding belly by wearing loose clothes and staying away from jeans.

• The ArabSat network based in Saudi Arabia and NileSat based in Cairo have agreed to boost their relations by agreeing to increase cooperation between the two satellite TV providers in order to serve the interests of millions of Arab viewers.

• The famous Egyptian actress, Majida Al Khatib was admitted to hospital suffering from respiratory infection causing blood poisoning. She's to undergo surgery at Al Salam International Hospital.

• Egyptian actress Athar Al Hakim attended the seminar by Jackline Beste at the Cairo Film Festival and as soon as the seminar ended, she went up on stage and took a photo with her.
