Haitham Said's New Video Clip

haitham said new video clip

Super Star graduate Haitham Said has done it again! A new song and video clip; sweet, funny and very lite!
The song '3aleik 3uyoun' is being broadcast on Melody Hits music channel and it's a breath of fresh air! The clip has been directed by young Egyptian director Karim Abou Zeid. The nice thing is, the idea of the clip is so simple, yet you'd love to watch it over and over again!

Nonsense Rubbish Video Clips

I never thought I'd see the day when a fake butterfly would fly out of a teapot and people would actually have the face to call it art. God how I miss Michael Jackson, his dances & his supremo videos. I miss David Bowie & Fred Mercury, Stevie Wonder & I miss too many to name. Seeing all this nonsense sofia/ haifa/ elissa/ amr/ jad... rubbish makes me embarassed.

The Arab music industry has not mastered the videoclip & never will coz it's always about the same old boring cheap subject: Fake love; boy/girl, looking attractive, and no one can dance properly except to be disgustingly sexual as in Ruby/Haifa. We have even turned Beauty into something it's not.

Jad Choueri's Masria

What's up with Jad Choueri? He's back with another boring song!
I mean, he can sing about any girl he wants Masria, Lubnania, Yabania ... although I have to say, his songs about girls have become lame! So what's to listen to in his new song Masria? Really?
I mean, please, don't get me wrong ... Egyptian girls are cool, trendy and beautiful ... but he could have made a better song about them!
And what's up with the line about him going around the world and meeting SO many girls and bla bla? Ok! We get the message, you've been with so many girls that you've become an expert on them! Again, Lame!

Please, Jad ... Spare us the trash and the crap and just go home! Try to do something else with your life!
If you liked his new song Masria ... Please tell us why.

Fadi Andraous First Video Clip

What do you think of Star Academy graduate Fadi Andraous' new song and video clip?
If you haven't seen it yet, you can catch it on Melody Arabia.
Personally, i think it's great! Cause it matches his style and personality to the max.
The song itself is really cute and the words actually mean something! Unlike many songs on the air nowadays!
I really hope he'll continue in this style and stays true to his own gut feeling.

Asalah Nasri is definitely a very busy bee these days. In between recording sessions and deadlines, her new video Bein Eideik ("In Your Hands"), has just premiered on Rotana Music's "Awal Marra" show. The song, written by Ahmad Ali Moussa and composed by Ramy Sabry, was made even more beautiful with the video that Asalah's husband, Tarek Alarian, directed and starred in. The video, like both of Asalah's previous videos, was shot in Prague, in the Czech Republic. After Aktar, an expression of Asalah's newfound happiness, and Arod Leih, which explored the end of her previous relationship, Asalah continues with the theme of a biographical album. The video shows the romance and affection that Asalah and Tarek share as a couple.

Pascale: Voice or Breast?

Pascale Machaalani new video clip

Although I listen to less capable voices such as Melissa, Rola and Cyrine Abdelnour, I always appreciate a powerful voice. Just looking at my music collection, It is obvious, I have Asalah, Latifa, Fadel Chaker, Nour Mehanna, Shahenaz, Dina Hayek, Sabah, Um Kolthoum, Najwa Karam, Hussain El Jassmi, Nawal, Zekra, and other great voices. Singers like these don’t even need to think of applying the “sex sells,” strategy that is applied by virtually every other Arab singer and “singer” today. However, sometimes even the greatest of singers can lose their sanity.

Remember Zizi Adel? She's on TV Again!

Zizi Adel was one of the students of the popular TV show LBC Star Academy ... She wasn't the best, but she did have a good voice & potential to make in the music business.
It seems she hit it well with Rotana, because she's got a debut album out & a video clip as well!
I watched the clip today & found it to be nice! ... The words to the song are not bad, the music is good & the video clip itself is fine! At least there's not nudity!
Zizi has been hiding all this time & has surfaced again to show us that she does have potential to make it the music business there days ... Unlike the guy who picked up the title of Star Mohammad Attieh! ...
You know what! Kudos Zizi!

A Theater Actor Falls in Love with Arwa

Arwa in her new video clip

Arwa is done with her new clip for the song named “Hobak Enta” or “Your Love”. She says that the song is talking about love in a deeper way not like other songs of the present time. The song is talking about love in general and not necessarily the love for your partner. The idea of the clip is about a theater team that makes shows in multiple places and when it reached a village, where she lives, to present their show, an actor fell in love with her and gave up everything to stay with her and live with her.

Miriam Causes a Beirut Traffic Jam!

Lebanese beauty Miriam Fares was about to launch her next video clip "Wahashni Eh" in July but due to the war, she will have to wait till after Eid to do so.
The stunning singer insisted on shooting the video on the streets of Beirut regardless of her director's wishes of doing it on the streets of Paris. This is the second time Miriam works with director Wissam Samira since her earlier clip "Hakluk Rahtak" where he used all the special effects he could get his hands on to create the chase scenes.

But Miriam has another beauty along side her that might just steal the show, an AC/ Cobra series used in the chase scenes, in addition to a Porsche 911. As expected, the scenes caused a traffic jam in the streets of the Lebanese capitol where the director called for the talents of stunt drivers to make the necessary maneuvers from such movies as “Ronin” and the “Taxi” movies.

This clip should be world-class especially since the lovely lady insisted on doing some of the less-dangerous stunts herself.
Maybe the taxi drivers weren’t so happy about the traffic jam though.

In all cases, Iwan's song is catchy & nice.

Jad Choueri & The French Kiss!

jad & the kiss

Jad Choueri has done something worse than anything else he's ever done! The video clip of his latest song Meen Allek is like all his previous video clips, with the addition of the Arab world first video clip French kiss!!!
He challenges the Arab world, and in particular the Arab viewer. He repeats the scene over and over again at the end of the clip, and says bluntly that he is going to continue doing what ever he feels like doing, even if it isn't acceptable for the rest of the Arab world! Like this kiss!

Nancy Ajram - Ana Masri

ana masri

Nancy Ajram's new album is full of nice and impressive songs as usual.
One of those songs is one that she shot a video clip for, and doesn't appear in not even once; Ana Masri. Talking about Egypt & Egyptians, and their love of their land & eachother.
Ana Masri is a beautiful and touching song. And it is refreshing not to see the actual singer of the song appear over & over again in the video clip, quite different, ey!?
What do you think?

Hadi Aswad Has Failed

Hadi Aswad Video Clip

After releasing his first clip (btistahel), it seems he did not succeed... His clip was aired on Future TV and at melody Arabia TV only... we thought that Hadi's video clip will be much better than his brother Shadi Aswad, but we were shocked after seeing Hadi's clip colors, the mermaid in the water was very unreal and the entire concept in general was very bad…

We are very sorry for you Hadi, hoping the next time you will know how to choose your video clip director.

The clip took 24 hour shooting at a Studio in Beirut. Waed looks really amazing and very attractive…her clip is a spiritual work in which Waed reflects her feelings through going deep inside while doing yoga away from her beloved... Hani gives us the real mood of meditation by using candles all over the clip.

Farfoura !

farfoura

The silliest song these days is being broadscasted on Melody Hits TV, and is entitled Farfoura... the title says it all ... and the lyrics are so shallow and meaningless! The singer who is called Dominique, is dressed in an extremely revealing bathing suit, among other things, and jumps up and down all over the place, and sings: Farfoura ana ...

Come on! It couldn't get sillier than this! Or do you think otherwise?

Jad Choueiri Video Clips

He said his features are similar to Enrique Iglesias and dances like Justin Timberlake; Jad Choueiri who attacked the Arabic music channels with his videos, which are copied from sexy movies. It seems he just thought about his features and his dancing and forgot how he looks while singing. What I want to say is that Jad Choueiri seems to want us to agree with his ideas by force, and maybe apply them in our daily life as well. After all criticisms he faced after Aullak eh, Oully ezay and El Mazzika, is he going to continue his ideas that are opposed by thousands of people? Who knows what we are going to see after his new album is released?

Egyptian Singer Shireen Films Video Clips in Beirut

shireen in beirut

Within 48 hours only, two video clips were directed & shot by Egyptian director Nasr Mahroos, and Shireen was ready for another boom for TV.
The first song that was shot is entitled “ma feesh marra” there isn’t one time, and the idea of the clip was simple and strait forward; Shireen herself dancing and singing on a stage platform. As for the second song, which is entitled “lazem a3eesh” I must live, is also a simple idea, where the whole clip was shot while Shireen was sitting in a chair and singing!

The New Trend with Arabic Singers and Less Makeup

There is a noticeable change with using less makeup among Arabic female singers in their video clips. Of course, many of you have noticed this, but is there a specific reason? Watching all these video clips, it is interesting to watch these famous singers that have enough confidence to confront their fans and to be watched by millions of people all around the world looking less beautiful than their usual overflowing beauty, and at the same time showing people a new appearance of them. I have been greatly noticing the less makeup being used within each clip.

First, we see Diana Haddad for example in her clip “Law Ma Da5alet Bi Rasi” with hardly any makeup. Then we see Elissa in her clip “Kol Yoom Fee Omri” with a small scene in the clip where she has no eye makeup, keeping in mind that Elissa is very famous for her striking black eyes...

Arabic Video Clips Copying Western Ones

I would like to discuss the trend of Arabic video clips copying western video clips, because it really pisses me off, I mean WHY, why does the directors think that we don't see other things than Arabic things, for example, carol samaha's "ghali alayyi" and "walking in the clouds" is a really famous movie, most people saw it, and then we see Karin Labaki talking about it as her NEW idea and for getting that HEY! It’s a movie!! At least you can say that the idea was taken from a movie like 'muqtabasa' from it.

I think that they can come up with new good ideas, but hey, you bother if I can copy a movie and say its my idea and of course Arabs won’t notice and that’s if they saw the movie or video clip or whatever, that’s what they think.

Elissa, Hobak Waja' - Enta Lamin

Elissa

Lebanese star singer Elissa has shot a new video clip to her new song Hobak Waja' - Enta Lamin from her latest album Ahla Donya.
The video clip is fantastic as usual; romantic, realistic, happy and sexy.
I say sexy without fear, because the scenarios that are used are warm, sexy yet classy and not vulgar.
One of the most affective things in Elissa's new video clip is the baby in it; it is so cute. Oh! And so is the guy!

Music was of the Band Backstreet Boys

Attieh's Street Boys!

We have watched what we've longely awaited for. However, it was a dissapointment! Being chosen the Star proved that you have many responsibilities to take control of, one of which was satisfying those who have voted for you. Even though I wasn't one of those, but your new video clip was a shock to us!

The music was of the band "Backstreet Boys", a song called "the call". & not only that, your voice in the song appears to be fiddled with in some way. I and many others were not pleased after a long wait...

Echos on Melody Hits & Mazzika Video Clips - Part 2

Boosy Samer ain't that bad....she just a pawn endorsing the show business policy that says "sex sells"... if such so-called disturbing images make people constipate it's because they're nervous of showing that they're actually interested in such things... Let's not try to be better hyprocrites when, as human beings, we already are like that to some extent.... and for God's sake, why relate such shit to your religions... If that's the case, why did God create Adam naked?... I'm not tryin to refute or rebuke anybody's beliefs but it's best for all parties not to mix religion with some badly made music video... Matter of fact, i didn't find anything seductive in a couple of half-naked titties... And there's so much confusion about christians spoiling muslim ethics nowadays....

Echos on Melody Hits & Mazzika Video Clips

I found this page after i searched on google who this ugly woman boosy samer is. and it was quite interesting reading this. i totally agree with you, allthought i am not an arab and live in finland. my love for arabic music started some years ago, and i visited egypt this summer and bought many cds. not as a tourist though, i lived in a normal family and i think i really started to respect the culture there. i had no idea that i could find these kinds of videos on melody hits! allthought i see EVERYDAY women like these on tv, this was something that really shook my mind and was completely different. what i love in arabic music is that they sing so sweet and the singers are cute, not like aguilera, britney and those i see here in my tv everyday. but then i saw this woman, boosy. the first 3 times i could not watch the clip to the end, and now i did it, and i see it as horrible...

There seems to be a competition between female Arab singers as to who can be the most daring in revealing their body.Well, Ruby gets full marks up till now in my book.
So maybe Haifa Wahbeh, Nancy Agram or Neglah can learn a thing or two from this high-rising Egyptian singer who has just recently completed a movie which is said to contain a lot of seduction.

Ruby's video clip would never have been shown on T.V a year ago due to the level of seduction involved...

Erotica or Music

Erotica or Music ... Magda

What are Arabic video clips coming to?

Video clips were an innovative way of enriching and enhancing songs making them more interesting for people, in addition to introducing the singer through small movie telling a short story. In the past few months, things have shifted slightly in the world of Arabic video clips, instead of telling a story of love, hate, sadness and other moral feelings, Arabic video clips are tending to advertise seduction and to an extent erotica...
