First it was Suzan Tamim and now it's the daughter of Layla Ghofran!
Moroccan singer, Layla Ghofran's 23-year-old daughter, Hiba, was found stabbed to death in her Cairo apartment today.
The police found her and her friend bleeding to death as a result of stab wounds.
It is reported that the two girls lived together in this apartment and studied at a nearby university.
Layla Ghofran must be in a horrible situation right now. Our warmest condolences go out to her.
The case is currently under investigation, so we'll keep you posted when new information is released.

It was shocker when Thomas Beatie became the world's first pregnant transgender man, it was all over the news and his name made headlines all over the world.
Get ready for another shocker, are you sitting down? The pregnant man is pregnant again!
In his first interview since giving birth to his daughter back in June, Beatie spoke with Barbara Walters last month for an exclusive interview about pregnancy, giving birth and being a dad/mom?!
The interview and the baby news came for a program entitled 'What Is a Man, What Is a Woman? Journey of a Pregnant Man.'

Congratulations Barack Obama for being elected as the 44th U.S. president of the United States of America.
We are not Americans, but my wife cried this morning ... she cried because history has been made, because finally the dream of having an African American man in the white house has come true. 45 years after the height of the civil rights movement led by Martin Luther King, his dream has become a reality.
In the wake of this historic event, we hope that justice and a new bright fate will finally prevail in the world, finally after 8 dark years caused by the actions and decisions of an arrogant man who only brought destruction and hate throughout the world.
Obama has a long and hard walk ahead of him, we wish him luck and support him in bringing peace and hope to the U.S. and the rest of the world.
Congratulations to the American people :) Congratulations to all those who have been wanting change for so long.

A suspect is innocent until proven guilty and when proven guilty, this suspect becomes a criminal. That's when he gets what he deserves!
In the case of the horrid murder of Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim, the suspects have been proven guilty and now they're criminals and should get the punishment they deserve!
Hitman Muhsen el-Sukkari has been charged and will surely get the death penalty.
As for the mastermind behind the murder, Tycoon Hesham Talaat Moustafa, he's either going to get life in prison or will also get the death penalty!
Some of you were skeptical about him being behind the murder, but that's the truth and there's a lot of evidence pointing right at him!

Things were bound to start unraveling in the horrible murder case of Suzan Tamim.
Now and after some threads have been untied, an Egyptian tycoon has been charged in her case!
You might have heard the name Hesham Talaat Moustafa before ... we've seen many ads on different TV channels that hold the name Talaat Moustafa. He's got one of the biggest real estate developments in Egypt, with malls and compounds and complete cities being built for the future population of Egypt that's growing bigger by the minute!
Well, it seems Hesham Talaat Moustafa hired former police officer Muhsen el-Sukkari to kill Suzan Tamim for a whopping $2 million! Yes, it sounds like a story out of a mafia movie!
Hesham provided his hit-man with all the necessary information and money needed to plan and carry out the crime.

A few hours ago, Al-Jazeera announced that famous Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish had passed away at 67 after undergoing open heart surgery in the US.
But, according to our own sources, which are close to Darwish, he is in critical condition. He is weak but he is still alive. So, the news of his death is still a rumor.
He underwent open heart surgery in Houston, Texas a couple of days ago. Although the surgery was successful, he did suffer complications and slipped into a coma.
This isn't his first heart surgery; he underwent two others back in 1984 and 1998.
After his successful 98' surgery, he got inspired to write a famous poem entitled 'Al-Jidariah' in which he says:

The story is still developing and we'll be updating it as it happens.

The legendary Egyptian director Youssef Chahin passed away yesterday at the age of 82 in Cairo.
After suffering a brain hemorrhage and falling into a coma back in June, he was taken to France for medical treatment, but it seems after the doctors reached a decision that there's no way out, he was taken back to his country to die among his family and his loved ones.
Today, a funeral ceremony was held in Cairo and hundreds of famous Egyptian actors and known politicians were present to bid the famous director farewell.
Although Chahin doesn't walk among us any more, he will never be forgotten, for his memory will always be carved in our minds and hearts.
Our condolences go out to Chahin's family ... May he rest in Peace.

I just heard the news ... Professor Randy Pausch passed away yesterday at his home in Virginia at the young age of 47.
You might have never heard of him, but with no doubt, he was a brave and courageous man.
Randy Pausch was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2006 and from that moment he set on a quest to change the way his children and everyone else went through life.
He's famous for a project he worked on called 'The Last Lecture'.
The Last Lecture is a celebration of life. It's his way of contributing to the world: He knew it was his last chance and he took it to give a wake-up call to the rest of the world.

Egyptian director Youssef Chahin was flown to France this morning after he fell into a coma after suffering a brain hemorrhaging.
Chahin is currently in the American hospital in Paris and with him is his niece Marianne.
Chahin, 82, fell ill while working on his last movie 'Hia Fawdha' -Chaos- in 2007 and hasn't regained his health since.
According to doctors, his situation is critical and due to his age might get even worse!
We at Waleg.com wish him a speedy recovery ... our prayers go out to his family.

This is really cool and interesting, you gotta read this!
Man's quest to find life beyond Earth is never-ending.
Mars has always been the target of space research because of it's similarity to our planet.
Yesterday, with a joyous celebration, Nasa's spacecraft Phoenix landed safely on the Red Planet.
This is the first ever successful soft landing on Mars, using a parachute and thrusters rather than protective air bags.
Since the twin Viking missions in 1976. In all, six of 11 similar attempts by the United States, Russia and England ended in failure!
Remember the rovers which landed on Mars a few years ago? This is a bit different, the Phoenix is built to stay in one place and use its robotic arm to dig into the dirt and ice. It is also equipped with several miniature chemistry labs to analyze the material it digs up on the spot!
More interesting facts after the jump ...

Early today things got heated and took a new turn in Lebanon.
Hezbollah have taken control of most of Beirut, which has lead to the forceful shut down of Future TV and the headquarters of Al Mustaqbal newspaper and radio.
Things don't look good ... the airport is closed down now and the scene reminds the world of the dark days of the civil war.
The situation exploded on Thursday, after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said that the government had declared war by claiming that Hezbollah's communication network was illegal.
We pray with all our hearts and wish that things get better in Lebanon.
We sure don't need another war!!!

I really do not get it! Do some people like to be disgustingly outrageous and out of line just to get attention? Or are they just plain thick?! What I am referring to is the reprinting of the Danish cartoons of Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) with a bomb in his turban. This idiotic act came as a reaction to a murder plot against 73 year old Kurt Westergaard the cartoonist who drew these atrocious images. After the plot was foiled more than 17 newspapers reprinted the image as a stance against ‘self-censorship’. You may remember that last time these images were printed a huge ban on Danish produce was initiated and their economy suffered greatly. It’s like those people are trying to rub salt in an already infected wound.
I have always been one to encourage development in the Arab world especially in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and hopefully by the end of this year there will be a new development: women will be able to drive. After a petition was delivered to King Abdullah at the beginning of this year steps to allow all women to get into the drivers seat are underway. Apparently this process has been long coming ever since the Royal court realized that if ‘girls have been in schools since the 1960s they have a capability to function behind the wheel’.
