It's official! For the first time in his career, Amr Diab will be performing at the famous Cairo opera House on June 16th! That's only 5 days from today! The concert will be under the patronage of Susan Mubarak herself!
Revenues of the concert will all be going to charity, specifically building school around Egypt.
The concert will also host 10 performers from around the world, their names are yet to be released.

Successful and expensive … that’s the best way to describe the New Year concert of Lebanese singer Elissa and Egyptian singer Amr Diab! Ticket prices sky rocketed and reached a whopping $680/ticket! A new record for Rotana, which was the company behind this concert which was held in Dubai to ring in the New Year 2008.

Elissa was first to come on stage, she entertained the audience for 2 hours until the final countdown and celebrated the first hour of the new year with the rest of the audience. At 1.00 am, Amr Diab got on stage and the partying went on non-stop until 3.00 am in the morning…

And how could the summer be over in Egypt without Amr Diab's Concert in Marina? That led to the most anticipated concert of the year, held in one of the most beatiful locations you can ever visit, Marina, Egypt. Tickets where sold-out days before the concert began, and Amr Diab who arrived from Los Angeles about a week ago, was ready to rock Marina!

August 14th witnessed the release of Amr Diab’s most anticipated video clip, Neoul Eih.
The song is from his new album, Neoul Eih.
Filmed in California, the video was directed by young Egyptian Director, Marwan Hamed, the same guy who directed Omaret Yackobien. The whopping budget ($500,000) makes it one of the highest budget videos ever in the Middle East. Released on Rotana TV for the first time, the video was a great success. It was released minutes later on a Egyptian program named "El Beit Betak", on EGYPT TV.

Recently I wrote an article about how the rumor of Amr Diab’s new album being leaked was a mere rumor and that in reality it was the cover that had been leaked but it seems that I spoke too early. On the 7/7/07 the date Amr Diab’s album was supposed to be released, had it not been for the delay, the Album, titled ‘El lelah de’, spread like fire and could be found on all musical websites where you could download them in extremely high quality.

Some years back, we got introduced to a new Egyptian singer … he was cute, had a nice voice and aside singing, he could act. He was called Amr Diab.
Year by year this Egyptian guy got higher and higher in the ladder of singers … he even started looking cuter! His songs started becoming an everyday thing you heard on the streets, in the buses and nearly everywhere … but only in Egypt, but all over the Arab world as well.
