The Third Elimination and Top 12 Contestants
12 contestants made it on Idol! But as usual, 4 people were eliminated.
Check out the results:
Eliminated girls: Katelyn Epperly and Lilly Scott
Eliminated guys: Todrick Hall and Alex Lambert
The top 12 guys and girls are:
American Idol Guys Odd Performance!
The guys did an okay job last week but didn’t do much better than the girls. I think you can tell that this was the girls’ week! The guys’ performances were a little odd and I can’t get over the fact that at the beginning of American Idol, the judges kept seeing that this year’s talents were amazing. Well, I don’t see it and I don’t think they see it either! This week is important because we get to see who makes it in the top 12!
The first to take the stage was Lee Dewyze, he sang “FireFlies” which is a new song. Lee keeps improving every week but, let’s be honest, he doesn’t have the best vocals on the show. He has odd pitches but good looks!
American Idol Girls Did Great!
Last week, 8 girls took the stage to sing for their lives or careers, however you might consider it. Last week the girls did an excellent job. See, I can be positive when I see something I like!
The first performance wasn’t that interesting. Katie Stevens took the stage and sang “Break Away” by Kelly Clarkson. She broke my heart with it! Kara and Randy shared my sentiments by saying that Stevens doesn’t know herself as an artist yet and that the performance was like a karaoke.
American Idol 9 Second Elimination

The 20 contestants took the stage and sang “I Got A Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas and they did a pretty good job!
As we all know, 4 people get eliminated each week, 2 girls and 2 guys, and the results this time are: after the jump!
American Idol 9, The Girls Step It Up

The American Idol 9 girls tried their best to step it up in this week’s performance, but to be honest the guys did a much better job!
The judges were very negative in their comments and a lot of rumors are going around saying that this year the contestants were picked depending on their looks and background and not their talent!
American Idol 9 Guys Step It Up!

Last night, the guys took to the stage to perform for the second time and you could easily tell they did so much better than the last time!
The ladies were supposed to perform but Crystal Bowersox was taken to the hospital due to an illness and thus the unexpected switch took place.
First up was Big Mike Lynche, he sang “This is a Man’s World” by James Brown. He did great and hit all the high notes and the judges thought it was a great song choice for him.
John Park was next, he performed “Gravity” by John Mayer. He did a little better than last week but still it wasn't that good and Simon said it wasn't “star quality”. Kara and Ellen thought it was better than last week but still he wasn't taking any chances.
American Idol 9 First Elimination
The results are in and the first two girls to leave American Idol 9 are Janell Wheeler and Ashley Rodriguez. I must say I was disappointed because both girls have amazing voices and deserved to stay. I thought Ashley had one of the nicest vocals of all and she is a very pretty girl.
As for the boys, the two who were the first to leave are Joe Munoz and Tyler Grady.
Joe wasn’t given enough time familiarize himself with the people, they didn’t really see him much and that’s the mistake that the program did. As for Tyler, I wasn’t that shocked, I expected him to leave.
American Idol 9 Guys Take The Stage

I personally thought that the guys of American Idol 9 were better than the girls but last night they didn’t live up to my expectations, but then again who am I to judge! There are enough judges as you know.
Todrick Hall was the first to perform and he tried to sing his own version of Kelly Clarkson, “Since You’ve Been Gone,” and the only thing to be said is: Todrick, you might be gone soon. Yes! It was that bad.
Aaron Kelly was the next person to take the stage and sing “Here Comes Goodbye” by Rascal Flatts. I kind of liked it but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was goodbye for him as well, although you have to admit he’s cute.
American Idol 9 Girls Take The Stage

The 12 girls of American Idol 9 took to the stage for the first time on Tuesday. Before the girls went up on stage Simon said to Ryan “Some are good. Some are not.” What a way to encourage the girls Simon! We also saw a funny skit between Simon and Ellen and that was the highlight of the episode to be honest.
Paige Miles was the first to perform who sang “All Right Now” by Free and the judges were satisfied by her performance and vocals, but Simon didn’t like the song choice.
Simon Has A Feeling Who The Winner of American Idol Will Be?

At least Simon Cowell is guessing and he thinks this year one of the 12 women, will become the next Idol. He even said "I'd love to find a Taylor Swift,” I don’t think any of the contestants match Taylor Swift’s style in singing but this year the talent is unbelievable, even the judges said so. I hope Starac 7 will have unbelievable talents this season also.
