Tunisian singer and Star Academy graduate, Ahmad Al Sharif, finished shooting his latest music video with director Walid Nasif.
The song 'Ana 3am Faker' or 'I am Thinking' is also the title of his new album, which is set for a June release.
The music video took two days of shooting and filming and as usual, the theme is a festive one, with whiffs of romance.
The setting was in Lebanon, between three beautiful areas, Jaaeita, Kasleek and Beirut.

Iraqi singer and Star Academy star, Shatha Hassoun, finished shooting her latest music video for her song 'Law Alf Marra'.
In this song, Shatha collaborated with Lebanese singer Melhem Barakat.
This is considered a first for Barakat, because he's never composed a tune for a non-Lebanese singer!

The beautiful Lebanese singer Yara, finished shooting her new video clip for the song “Ana insan” or "I am a human being."
This is one of the songs off her new album, which is going to be in the Khaliji accent. That is a very bold choice, but knowing Yara and being a huge fan of her music, I am sure it is going to be amazing.

Kathem Al Saher and Carole Samaha kicked off their American tour with a concert in Chicago and a humanitarian call!
The two stars called on their audience to donate some much needed money to children cancer centers to insure good services and care for those sick children.
At the concert, there were representatives of St. Jude medical center, which is a well known center that provides medical care for children with cancer.

Al Saher and Samaha also held concerts in Las Vegas and San Fransisco.

What?! A washing machine for dogs!
Yes, there is now such a machine that will make things more convenient for dog owners and even cat owners. That machine, invented by Frenchman Romain Jarry is called the Dog-O-Matic. He says that this machine is a great success in his home town, St. Max. And he hopes to introduce it in Britain next year as well.

Amr Diab released the first issues of his new newspaper. The newspaper is called “Alshareaa” or 'The Street' that covers a wide range of issues. In fact Amr is very happy because just an hour from releasing 35,000 copies of the newspaper to multiple places all over Egypt, 31,000 copies were sold! That indeed is a great success. However, Amr Diab wouldn’t be enjoying all of the success by himself but with his partner in the newspaper Iman Mohseb.

Apparently the pregnancy craze that had hit the western world had hit the Arab world too. And in particularly the Lebanese world as Nancy Ajram, Dominique Hourani, Amal Hjazi and Dana Halabi are all pregnant and still managing to look amazing.

Last week, Haifa Wehbe mingled with A-lister and Hollywood celebrities on the red carpets of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
Haifa and her new husband were in Cannes for the 1st screening of Haifa's movie 'Dukkan Shehata'.

She also attended a dinner party held by director Quentin Tarantino on the heels of the premiere of his latest movie 'Inglourious Basterds' which stars Brad Pitt.

Haifa was also present at the red carper of the premiere of the latest Penelope Cruz movie.

Have you heard the musical term 'Taqwacore'?
I came across the term yesterday as i was surfing and read a little bit about it.
I thought I'd let you in on the term and see what you thought.

'Taqwacore' is an interesting new genre of punk music dealing with Islam.
It's enlightening to hear 'Taqwacore' music because it incorporates punk, hip hop and shades of Arabic or Punjabi music. Some may see it as rap inspired as well.

Palaeontologists found what could be the “missing link” in human evolution.
They called this missing link Ida. According to the analysis done by paleontologist Jorn Hurum and his team, “Ida” is a 47-million-year-old fossil. She was unearthed in Germany’s Messel Pit. Ida is unique because it resembles a lemur. With its scientific name Darwinius masillae, Ida has physical attributes closely resembling those of a primate’s like opposable thumbs, grasping hands, clawless digits with nails, and short limbs.
