Today Star Academy student Sally turns 19!
Since last night, the academy has been in the birthday atmosphere! Just as it turned 11 last night, birthday music started playing all over the academy ... and then a cake suddenly appeared and it was a short celebration!
But today, it seems Sally got something special for breakfast, then for lunch she got a huge red heart shaped box from a secret admirer! What was in the box? Her lunch! Chicken & French fries! Yum Yum!

Haifa Wehbe has caused a major conflict recently between the two music satellite channels Mazzika Tv and Rotana for previewing her famous song 'Ragab' exclusively to Mazzika although Haifa and her song are fully contracted with Rotana and I mean by fully her albums, productions and video clips.

However,the people responsible in Mazzika channel claimed that Haifa dedicated 'Ragab' to them after recording the same song in a different way assuring that her contract with Rotana expired and that its her right to market her work in her own way. Along came the war between the two satellite channels when Haifa surprisingly told Rotana that Mazzika was mistaken and blamed them to justify herself!

Another elimination goes to Syrian actor Bassem Yakhor; role actor in series 'Khaled Bin Walid (Part 1)'. The production company surprised Yakhor by this news and they mentioned that several changes will take place in the second part of the series that has been preparing recently in Syria.

Prime 11 Photos - Part 3

In mid March Syrian Actor Jamal Suleiman will be commencing his first shots in the new TV drama series 'Welad El leyl' in his second experience with the Egyptian drama. The series is also written and produced by a Syrian, director Rasha Sharbatjy and this is her first experience with the Egyptian media.

Suleiman will be impersonalizing the role of a trader in Port Said(an Egyptian city) who faces several confrontations with Jewish business men who need to regain their power in 'Madinat al Somood'.

The students did their best for the evaluations this week. Today some of them showed that they have progressed ... while others seem to be stuck in the same place!
The 1st student to go into the evaluation room was Ali, he was good ... better than last week, but what i really liked was his scene ... he freaked Elissar out!
I think he did well.
The 2nd student to go in was Ahmad, it was obvious he was afraid; he had short breath ... but sang well. As for his scene, it wasn't great, but it was surprising! He revealed that he is a Kuwaiti of Iranian origin ... he even sang a song in Iranian! That was mind blowing for me!

I usually write to inform you about the latest celebrity news. However, after the both overwhelming and disgusting response to yesterday’s article about Star Academy contestant Shatha Hassoun, I think a history lesson is in order.

Last Thursday in Grand Hyatt Hotel-Cairo, Adel Imam celebrated the start of shooting his new comedy film called 'Morgan Ahmed Morgan' in which the Egyptian actress Mervat Amin will be co-starring with him.

This film will be Mervats come back to the silver screen after a long lasting 23 years in which the last time she appeared in cinema was also with Adel Imam in the film 'Wahda bi wahda'-One By One!

The story never changes; the characters are simply switched with new ones. This is the story of Rotana and its never-ending conflicts with its Egyptian artists. The latest conflict would be with the famous Egyptian singer, Angham. Angham’s latest quarrel with Rotana is over her choice of director. Angham is trying, again, to get Nadine Labaki to do her first video for her upcoming album. However, Salim El Hindi’s strict budget, again, is preventing Angham from doing so. Last time, she settled for Hadi El Bajouri. This time, the conflict remains unresolved. This follows her complaints about how Rotana didn’t sufficiently advertise her album. Naturally, an artist with Angham’s rich history would be extremely offended at the treatment she is receiving from her production company.
