Tonight's Star Academy prime was a surprise.
Three famous guests & 3 very stressed nominees.
The guests were French singer Gilbert Montagne, Saudi Waad & Lebanese Amal Hijazi.
Gilbert Montagne was as energetic and vibrant as ever, his songs were very nice.
Waad was as beautiful as always, the white goes very well with her complexion. As for Amal, well, her new look is not very interesting, on the contrary, in my opinion, it is a step in the wrong direction! I mean, really, what's the deal with the crazy wig?!

The 8 students to be touring the Arab world for the LBC Star Academy concerts were chosen tonight and were announced during the prime, Here are their names:

- Hanaa El Idrissi
- Fady Andraos
- Wajdi Lakhal
- Hani Hussein
- Khalifa Salem
- Rakiya Ibrahim
- Joseph Attieh

However, this time there is an exception ... a suprise actually; this year there will be 9 students touring the Arab World and the 9th chosen one is Maya Nehmeh.

Lisa Tucker, the 16 year old from Anaheim, went homeafter the American Idol performance on Wednesday.
The remaining 9 are: Taylor Hicks, Elliott Yamin, Mandisa, Katherine McPhee, Bucky Covington, Paris Bennett, Chris Daughtry, Ace Young and Kellie Pickler.

Saudi singer Waad has finished shooting her next new video clip for her song Ya A7lahum, which is one of the songs of her new album that is due out in a few days.
The theme of the video clip is an army camp in a forest, while Waad plays the part of a soldier in training, and the clip is directed by young director Hani Khashfeh.
You might have already heard her new song on the radio, what do you think of it?

Syrian singer Assala Nasri got engaged in Cairo to director Tarek Al Arian.
The ceremony was on Saturday at the Mena House hotel and consisted of Al Fatiha only.
Assala & Tarek have agreed on getting married three weeks after the engagement.
By this engagement, Assala puts an end to rumors that have circulating for a few weeks now about her already getting married to Al Arian.

Today Fadi Andraos presented the dailies of Star Academy along with Hilda.

Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe arrived in Morocco yesterday with an invitation from the Red Badge Organization, in order to take part in a couple of events for fighting AIDS.
Haifa will be holding a press conference and will undergo a blood test.
Haifa Wehbe will also be participating in the support & nomination of Oprah Winfrey for a Nobel Peace Prize for her role in fighting AIDS & poverty in Africa.
