Is Rouwaida Attieh The Queen of Arabic Music?

By H.A.R. on Apr 19, 2012

Syrian singer and Super Star finalist, Rouwaida Attieh was the guest of Coke Studio on MBC last night.
Rouwaida shared the episode with a Gypsy group from the Balkans, specifically Yugoslavia, and the mix of both types of music, Arabic and Gypsy, was an unforgettable one.

Another singer sharing the episode was Lebanese Gypsy, Bilal.

What caught my attention, other than the great "Fusion" music, was that Rouwaida seems to be a whole lot full of herself!
She even said that she's the crowned queen of Arabic music ... !
Now the thing is, no one can argue that she's got one of the grandest voices in the Arab world today!

What do you think? Is she?
And even if she was the best, should she be so frank about it and call herself a queen?!

Ruwaida Attieh is the best singer in the entire world. She has a voice that is different from all female arab singers. Her tone, projection and breath control are perfect. All Syrian singers could be presented of having wonderful voices. For instance, Sultan al Tarab George Wassouf, Sabah Fakhri, Mayada Henawi, Nassif Alzeytoun, etc. Ruwaida Attieh will always be the queen of all female arab singers.

I adore Ruwaida Attieh but, i dont know if Ruwaida is with the assad regime but clearly you are talking about her as if she was a supporter for example, if she was against the syrian regime would you still be talking about her that nice and saying her voice is beautiful. Including nassif zaiton and others. Why didnt you include Sara farah? She has the same tone as Ruwaida. So take it into consideration, if Ruwaida attieh said shes against al assad would you still be talking about her and adore her?

When something is true about someone, I would definitely say it even if they were my enemies. Something that is noticeable, should always be said. When I mentioned Syrian singers didn't you see the etc. part? That means there's more singers, but I couldn't list them all. Sarah Farah is also an amazing singer and i admire her every much, but don't talk about Nassif at all. His voice could be listened to forever. In the end, they are all from one country, my country, SYRIA!!! :)
