Haifa & Snoop Dogg in "Yaga Toufin"

Haifa & Snoop Dogg

Around a year ago, there was news that Haifa Wehbe has going to record a duet with Snoop Dogg, now that she has actually done that, she's aiming at shooting a video clip with him too.

Haifa will be leaving for the States in about two weeks and will work on a music video with the Hip-Hop star for their duet, which is entitled "Yaga Toufin".
The term may sound strange, but it's an Iraqi term relating to picking grapes.

This isn't the first time Haifa teams up with an International star, her song "Yama Layali" was a collaboration with DJ David Vendetta.

What do you think? Will this duet be a success?

As a transcultural(Middle Eastern/American), I believe that anything that Haifa creates will be POPULAR... And "Snoop Doggy Dog" is internationally renowned. I remember listening to Snop Dog in the early 1990s....

    * I AM CURIOUS TO KNOW why the song is in Iraqi Dialect, though... Im ready to hear it..... YELLA HAIFA WA SNOOP!

haha I know right. She must've listened to california girls and said I wanna be like her. Knowing Haifa that is exactly what she must have done. She likes to imitate other stars especially western ones like Beyonce. She copies her so much! And if you get a chance at a duet with Snoop Dog you don't sing about picking grapes lol that is just weird. Maybe this duet is her way of getting more international fame, but I doubt that will happen.

Haifa will never be international cause westerners aren't interested in our music. Never saw an Arab artist who can dance or make a show like Beyonce and those who can sing live can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
I'm sure that there are a lot of Arabs who are really talented but you know the mentality: string-pulling...

    We're doomed.
