Captured In Time!
There’s a plane on the moon! I was really amazed the first time I saw this picture that I thought I must share it with you. I have never seen a shot like this. It’s awesome! See the plane outlined perfectly on the moon’s silhouette? This wasn’t photoshopped if that’s what you’re thinking. It’s the real thing as painstakingly captured by photographer Christopher Tomas. He managed this feat through diligence and keen observation.
Tomas lives in Queensland, Australia and everyday he observed that the passenger plane Qantas Dash 8 Q400 pass over his location in Blackbutt range at exactly 5.30 in the afternoon. It does that daily without fail.
He waited to get the perfect shot. It wasn’t until the moon was at his desired phase that he set up his camera. With sweat in his palm he waited until the passenger plane was in line with the moon, framing it perfectly. And click! This amazing image was born.
This image is one of the proofs of the art of photography. I’m still stunned every time I look at it. I hope you get to appreciate it too!
