Wow is he is already seventy, I love him and I think that he is very funny guy, as for his political views well he seems pro-government so his views would seem in line with theirs about the palestinian opposition.

Some people negatively judge him on his opnions, and seriously look what you're doing now! At least, that was a matter of opnion, but calling someone 'low' is an insult! And what if he isn't with El Ekhwan El Moslmeen. Nobody says to believe in them. At the end, they're HUMANS. Wearing a beard doesn't make you any holy; it's your actions. Not to forget, he was stating his opnion as a citizen.If that's HIS opnion, why can't people accept it. I understand that he didn't have to do it puplicly, but why would someone get attacked because they're expressing their opnions?!! Isn't that what you're doing now by posting those comments?!!!! Frankly I admire Doreid Laham greatly as he is such a classy man who displays great dignity, but if he did attack Adel Imam for his views, then the response was warranted.

As for Adel Imam's view on the Palestinian issue, I will remain silent as I am really the last person ( also most of the people here ) to judge him. The Palestinian issue needs more than talk and prayer, and frankly A lot of people have nothing to do but talk and meaningless slogans. Poor Palestinians.

I must say i have to agree with the writer. Being a celebrity really is a huge responsibility and that does unluckily warrants celebrities(public icons for that matter) to tread lightly on sensitive issues especially issues in regards with humanity, politics and religion. By all means give opinions, however, not to the extend of transgressing people's sensitivity. It is hardly a "political correctness" rather simple common sense.

Adel Imam is entitled to his own opinion just like Duraid Laham. He has always attacked Muslim radicals who have smeared the image of Islam and he's the only one who had the courage to do so.

The big problem with Arab artists is that instead of fighting for democracy, human rights and being people's voice cause of the lack of democracy in most of our countries, they prefer to worship Arab governments to make money.

I agree with Leila. Let's not forget we are talking about one of the most talented comedic actors of the Arab world. He deserves his respect and recognition. He is very well accomplished throughout Arab cinematic history. People other than politicians and government officials can ACTUALLY have political opinion. i ve just remembered a crazy statement made by this old man. last year, he stated that Hamas was to be blamed for the Israel's 22-day devastating onslaught against the Gaza Strip. as if Israel had nothing to do with the killings of thousands of Palestinians and this kook blames Hamas. read his statement on the net."I am sure that Hamas made a terrible mistake, which resulted in the killing of thousands of innocent Palestinians," Imam told Al Hayat from Paris where he received medical treatment. I guess Hamas did a grave mistake protecting their country from the intrusion of Zionist?
