Syrian celebrities in Damascus Go Green

What a delightful consideration of Arabesque radio to help raise awareness in Syria about keeping their environment clean.

A large number of famous Syrian celebrities gathered in Damascus and roamed in three of the most crowded places of the capital. Among them were Doreid Laham, Salim and Yara Sabri, Bassem Yakhor, Shokran Mortaja and many more.

The stars shared paper bags along the passing vehicles and gave many of them a talk on how important it is to keep the environment clean, the celebrities later ended their day in the heart of the Syrian Capital in ‘Masrah Teshreen’ where there was a new song released for the occasion ‘hat edak wel lha’ni’ and finally a large number of balloons were released to decorate Damascus sky with beautiful colorful balloons with special messages from the stars written on them.

Many celebrities love helping people and therefore a large number of our Arab celebrities are ambassadors of good will. Personally I think that in order to really help, you should start with people in your own country because as a celebrity you are their idol and you could influence your country the most, and of course each country has its own problems from environmental to political not forgetting the social issues like crimes health and poverty.

I admire the awareness program that these celebrities have started which I am sure have influenced many citizens and it will influence more.

The world is a beautiful place and there is a lot of pollution that is ruining the beauty of the world, help the environment and make a future for your children because you are the only one capable of making a difference.

Great for a change, but would they please stop smoking in their tv series and plays? Young kids look up to them and surely influence them in adopting bad behaviors that the western world is trying to eliminate in their movies and public places.
