Elissa at The Big Apple Music Awards!
Lebanese singer Elissa has won the "Best Arab Singer in 2010" award in the
Big Apple Music Awards.
The ceremony will be held in New York on May 16th where International
celebrities worldwide will be awarded.
Elissa is supposed to arrive to New York on the 14th of May to rehearse for
the big ceremony.
Worth mentioning is that the World Music Awards -where Elissa won 2 awards
for best selling artist in the Middle East- will be held in Monaco on May
18th, and its rumored that both Elissa and Amr Diab are nominated to win the
award this year, and the result will be announced on May 10th.
Also, Elissa is supposed to be the guest of the final prime of Star Academy,
along with Wael Kfouri and Lara Scandar.

1- Elissa is best singer in 2010, Kazem was the best singer in 1990 maybe :)
2- Most singers sing playback in such cerimonies. If you love Nancy Ajram, she sang playback in the World Music Awards, same with Amr Diab, so its not just Elissa who u obviously hate :)
3- LOL, your Wael Kfouri is the one who constantly states that he's in love with Elissa. Elissa on the other hand has stated millions of times that she can never fall in love with a musician.

Huh? They are the same age so I could easily say that she was the best singer in 1985! Well if not Kazem then this award should go to Assi Hellani or George Wassouf or Melhem Zein or Wael Kfoury or Shahd Barmada.

I agree all plastic people and bollywood music thiefs playback but the singers I named above NEVER PLAYBACK!

Are you serious? I rather see him falling in love with men then being in love with a complete fake plastic face like Elissa!
And why is it that Miss ARROGANT can never fall in love with a musician? Does she wants to seduce Prince Al Walid Bin Talal? She will never succeed cuz Ameera is a natural beauty while she isn't even beautifull with help of her plastic surgeon.

Atleast his camel face is NATURAL! With Kathem it's about MUSIC AND VOICE not about looks. And by the way maybe Elissa would have looked like a geek without her thousand surgeries and even with the surgeries she looks like a cold person.

No she isn't you deluded fan. Her surgeon is probably the same of Roula's. So both Roula and her are close friends they probably inject botox with each other..and ofcourse Roula wants to have her best friend in the final.

I'm sure they know that, they only chose the best! And btw this was based on a poll on a website, Elissa took over 55% of the votes.
And Elissa is younger than Nawal, but sure believe whatever Nawal says.
Najwa Karam has nothing to do with this, she's a queen in her field and in Lebanon only, Elissa is the best in the Arab world.

u're right, and Elissa never denied that. Nawal is older than Elissa by 6 months, but Nawal in an interview said that she's younger than Elissa (which is a very lame thing to say). Elissa on the other hand did not comment over the silly issue..

Elissa just CANNOT SING LIVE , end of story. Her studio altered voice sounds great, so I would believe that people bought her album. She's great on record. So she might have sold a lot of records. The Award she got for the World Music award was base on Sales, NOT ON TALENT___so she might have deserved it have sales redods shows that. BUT she is not a real singer.
There is no need to worry about shame, that she representing the Middle East, truth be told she is a tiny speck amongst the big stars in award ceremonies such as the WMA. She's not even remembered.Besides she never sings live in occasions like these. She, herself knows her limitations. I think we should commend Elissa who made her way to be popular even without any talent. It is miraculous. I love listening to her songs but I swear, she sound like a witch , live.

No worries that the US will think that she is the only Arab Singer, because she won't even remembered at all. Apologies, I am half Arab.People in the States adhere to their being non-racist, being equal and being appreciative of other cultures, so with all due respect, in shows like this, they will pretend to listen, BUT IN THEIR HEADS should someone Arab start singing, they are just really waiting for the perfomance to end and get on with the ones that are really their taste. Arab singers are not bad , but they certainy are not WORLD faves compared to artists from the US, Canada etc.AFTER ALL these Arab singers had been sent there for the award with a decision from the middles east of course. You know your artists.It is the MIDDLE EAST who chose to send this Elissa to get the award, NOT New York and MOST CERTAINLY NOT the world.

Come on, Elissa cannot sing a live---THE VERY FIRST REQUIREMENT of a singer.There is no denying she is great on record. We love her Cds but don't put her side by side a talent such as Nancy.Nancy sound great on CDs and in LIVDE concerts. I pity Elissa who gets pabnic attacks before singing live. She is as scared as a cat, don't you notice how stressed she is in concerts, she cannot even sing the right notes and stops in the middle of her songs????LOL.Wake up.

elissa makes good songs...like it or not...i've never listened arab music,it's just not popular here amog americans...but when i heard her...i fell in love with her songs...she is a lady...how much surgeries she had is noones bussiness,it's her private life...support her or not,but don't diss or hate....
i still believe she is a great ambasador for the arab world...
