A $150M Movie About Prophet Mohammed
Would you watch a movie about prophet Mohammed if there was one? The thought might not have entered your mind yet but, you’d better start thinking about it because there is a plan to make a movie about him. The plan to make the Prophet Mohammed movie was announced at the closing of the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday. And it seems that the plan is very solid indeed since the producer has been named already.
The producer is not just anybody. Does the name Barrie Osborne ring a bell? He is the one who produced ‘The Lord of the Rings” and “The Matrix.”
According to reports, the film will be financed by the Qatari media company Al Noor Holdings. Care to take a guess how much the allocated budget is? They are going to work on a $150 million budget! With a kind of budget, I think this film is going to be something to be reckoned with and definitely worth watching out for.
The film is going to depict the events in Prophet Mohammed’s life including the influence he made on others. Aside from that, this English language film also aims to “educate people about the true meaning of Islam.”

A high budget doesn't always mean a good movie. As for any of the "7aram" aspects (as I call them in religious movies), no producer ANYWHERE in the world is stupid enough to actually portray the prophet, I'm sure it will be handled perfectly, in that perspective.

Great news, ! "The message" was also one of the best Islamic films of all time and was really successful with both the english and arabic version of it. Thumbs up! hopefully it would be a great success and send out the message of peace in regards the the Islamic religion, thanks waleg :P

Things changed and girls now marry when they are above 20 though in many cases nowadays they are marrying at the age of 18 ...Things and life are constantly changing and what was so normal more than a thousand year ago, it is not now and vise-versa!

To Waleg, Yes this information is 100% true and i read alot of books about such facts as marrying young girls was very common in old times and was even available before Mohamed PBuh . It also worth mentionining that girls that time biologically were getting mature in early ages around 9 years and they can be ready for marriage. I dont know why ignorant people keep talking about the same thing all the time..it became too silly and the information is not even correct...Patheetic..Honestly!

Well it's a very Good Idea to make a big Movie about the best of Creation in the whole world Prophet Mohammed (Salla ALLAH 3leh w salam) as long as we are not passing the limits of our Religion the Islam in this Movie,To show to the whole world the TRUTH about our Religion and OUR PROPHET....
